I just got the idea of like, Killer's SOUL being able to hypnotize, if only briefly- idk I thought you'd enjoy this idea
Oooh I absolutely do enjoy this idea omg
And I can actually see it happening ngl, the way his soul seems to gently and continuously move, I can see it happening on stage 2 specifically but never any other stage, cause his soul moves too aggressively on stages 3 and 4 and is almost completely still on stage 1 (and I like to think any movement it has on stage one resembles the beat of a heart)
Stage 2 tho? His soul moves in a gentle slow circular motion, and I feel like if someone does look at at for a bit, it would cause them to completely lose their sense of reality around them
Thereâs this one comic, in which Swap Chara, immediately noticed and felt Killerâs soul, and was even in pain cause of it, this is obviously cause theyâre Chara, different universe or not, that bond will always be there, but what I find most fun about it, is the fact Chara felt the intent, felt the danger from Killer way before meeting him in person, without even realizing that this is Killerâs soul at first until they felt it, not only that, but how they say it, âhis soul. His mind.â They felt his mind, *shakes you*, they felt his mind
Not only that, but the panel with his soulâs light, lighting up his chest, it feels like an aura of its own of sorts, and it makes sense for his soul to have an aura, even for a small range
And it makes me wonder if people hypnotized by his soul would feel the danger and intent too, would know theyâre in danger but canât do anything to prevent it
Also can you imagine whoever gets hypnotized maybe could end up hearing and listening to what Killer hears on a daily basis? The laughter, the comments, the endless overlapping voices, not that Killer is aware of them getting a glimpse into his mind (otherwise heâd make sure they never get hypnotized shgdgd)
itâd be really fun if itâs unintentional even, and only happens for a few minutes tops, itâs just happens and Killer picks up on it after a few times, on how in certain circumstances his soul can hypnotize people briefly, and Killer takes advantage of it, says some creepy shit about how they should just focus on his voice and let themselves go
Like I can see Killer brushing it off the first time it happens, he notices, heâs intrigued, but the person snaps back to reality before Killer is sure, and Killer just brushes it off as his mind making things up, then it happens again, and a third time, and so heâs sure now, and he just takes advantage of it, especially when he needs info
He might even trick someone into observing his soul when he wants to hypnotize them, hold it gently and talk about it, show it to them, etc (even when I think that Killer usually would rather no one focuses on his soul much)
Not that he needs to most of the time, as people who never met him before would immediately take notice of it, cause not everyone has their soul out in the open like that, but people who already know him might not look at his soul cause they already know of it, itâs not news to them, so Killer takes steps to make them fall into hypnosis
I like to think that if this is truly the case, it only works on certain people than others, not everyone gets hypnotized, not necessarily because theyâre immune, but because either the person feels themselves getting hypnotized way before they actually do and so they opt to not look at Killerâs soul directly, or maybe they are truly immune for whatever reason, either way, really fun :)

You liked the universe and its ways of diverting you into paths you never thought to cross paths once again.
Weeks ago, attending another lousy gala was against your whole will. It didnât seem necessary to you, finding no difference whether your presence was something that would be amiss to the buffoons dressed in suits of your multimillion dollar company. Sure, you completely detested the idea, yet you gave it a chance, as your good colleague turned into a friend â was nagging you for days before the event. She insisted it was an opportunity (a scenario eerily familiar to your college days as if it was a mere frat party) you thought that might as well maximize these so-called connections, right? So, you caved in and went dressed to kill, anyway.
Funnily enough, the said colleague was nowhere to be seen even if she was the sole reason of your presence here tonight. She claims that she had the flu and so you were forced to take in the hors-dâĆuvre by yourself.
Here you were, in a fitted beige-colored pantsuit. You didnât know whether it was your fake it âtill you make it mantra during work, but you managed to survive (so far). Sipping in your flute of champagne and socializing with people. Your feet were starting to ache and so were your cheeks due to the endless polite smiling you have done for the night. It was draining, so to say.
Just as you were on your way to the bathroom to do some touch up, a recognizable voice made its way to you.
âPlease do tell me that you went here without a date, (y/n/n).â a sultry voice uttered directly on your ears and you turned to them too fast, almost getting a whiplash.
You havenât heard of that for a while. It was a nickname that your closest friends and family called you by.
Lo and behold â it was Samantha Loomis.Â
Your eyes fluttered as she left you flabbergasted for multiple reasons. Sam had you putting your hand on your chest, beating madly as if youâve seen a ghost.Â
âShit. Sam, you scared me, Jesus. Canât you say hello like a normal person?â
She bodied the suit better than every man in the room. Sam stood with hands in her pocket, an aura that can easily rival anyone elseâs confidence in the room, her jet black hair was fixed in a neat ponytail. She was donned in a well put navy blue suit â truly tailored to her perfect figure, emphasizing her good attributes. Damn this woman. Sam was still taller than you and insanely oozing with attractiveness.
Another thing? This woman was the one you were silently pining over during your teenage years. You were also heartbroken when she left town abruptly, leaving no trace behind.
âFinished checking me out?â she says, cocky. âNot one hi for me? youâre still easily frightened, (y/n/n).â a smile ghosts on her face as if Sam knew a secret. âSo, how are you? If youâve got a mystery date for tonight, Iâd say they are doing a bad job of keeping you entertained.â
âHi. Happy now?â You immediately blush at her blatant flood of compliments. âAnd Iâm fine. Really, Iâm just here to enjoy the drinks and all, maybe a bit of expanding in the work field too. So, itâs definitely just me â a last minute decision.â
Sam nods, eyes trailing on you.Â
âIâm more than happy to hear that. âCause that also means I can do thisâ?â she reached for your hand and pressed her lips at the back of it, making you flustered more than ever.
You werenât used to Sam being this direct. She was affectionate, but not to this extent. She was more laid-back as you recall, not as forward and not this flirty. Women had always been your achillesâ heel but to experience this with Sam in the present time â it was a no-brainer that your old feelings were being tested.
âYou always do this to the women you encounter?â you raise an eyebrow.
âJust you, (y/n/n).â
The way she kept saying your nickname felt too intimate as it was the one you were previously called back in one of the towns you used to stay in. One that Sam was a part of until she moved again â a common occurrence in her life that she mentioned in passing â albeit you were somewhat expecting it, you didnât actually think it would hurt that much still.
You were by each otherâs side all night. She blossomed into a refined and sophisticated woman, answering questions from other gentlemen and business people in the room with unshakable confidence. It was apparent too, with how they looked at her with respect. Sam even introduced you to others too, by your respective job and all, definitely buttering up your good qualities too that you havenât even realized that this was benefiting you in your long forgotten plans of exposure.Â
âI donât think I should be with you Sam,â you whisper close to Sam who had her eyebrows furrowed at your words. âWhatever your business is, itâs definitely beyond what I do. Wouldnât it be sketchy? Or like using you? Because thatâs notââ
âNow slow down, honey. Itâs no problem with me. Honestly, I was just thrilled to have you by my side tonight and you deserve the good word and all. Itâs still me, (y/n/n).â she assured you as she held you softly by your shoulder.Â
Exhaling the distress away, your stomach soon fluttered at Samâs intentions.
âIâm having fun too, just so you know.â You truthfully admit, stopping a stupid smile to spread on your face. Sam gleamed at your words, evidently content as you are.
Soon you were catching up a little with life. Sam asked you how long you have been away from your hometown and what brought you to a new one. You sheepishly say that a new start was long overdue for you and interestingly, Sam returns the same sentiment, albeit there was longing in her tone but it disappeared quickly as it went. Before you could attempt to pry for more, a new set of people were catching up to the two of you, making you sigh.
Sam murmured to you after the man had left. âThat man is definitely a no. Heâs got a good history of attempting to shag his secretaries. Bound to be kicked from their board soon. I assumed a terrible workload and possibly environment, too.â
âNoted. Crossing that one out immediately.â You snorted at her unfiltered yet helpful tip. âHe was rather creepy with how he was staring.. Itâs like his first time seeing a pair of boobs during Victorian times.â you quip and laughter filled your chest.
âDid he now?â Sam squinted her eyes. âWell⊠youâre absolutely a sight for sore eyes, alright.â You see her eyes now surely over the valley of your chest.Â
Was she really checking you out?Â
Another new information for you is that Sam had apparently grown playful. You were astounded to receive her gaze, you elbowed her side. âIâm just saying! But him? oh heâs not worth your time, is all.â Sam reasoned, petulant.
âAnd youâre no better.â
âExcuse me, I am. I was simply admiring you.â she quipped at you very quickly and sipped her drink.
âIf you say so. And hey, what about her?â you subtly point at the tall, middle-aged woman you met earlier.Â
âUh-uh, also a pass. Better CEO than him and the others, for sure, but you could do better. A bit of the same as the old man, just a woman version of him on a somewhat low profile.â
You look with much interest now. For two different reasons â one, because you didnât expect that and two, how exactly of a big shot was Sam to know all of this insider information?
âDoesnât sound bad to me.â
Not for me. Sam murmured as she sipped on her drink. You look at her quizzically, obviously not catching her words.Â
âSorry, what was that?â
âI said, what about that oneâŠâ Sam subtly points out another person across from you.Â
She listed out the companyâs stand point, what they were looking for, and you momentarily tuned out â savoring her voice that melted in your ear.
âHow do you know all of this?â You blurt out.
Sam was sporting a distant tight-lipped smile. âI own a few businesses from here and there. Canât spill them all to you in one night. I have to remain mysterious so I can be interesting for you, donât I, honey?â she tilted her head.
For the hundredth time that night, your heart pounded and cheeks were crimson once again, all by Samantha Loomis.
::Â
This morning as you flipped through the channels, it reported the death of a wealthy CEO, stabbed in most inhumane ways and his eyes were reportedly gouged out.Â
Momentarily, you felt sick to your stomach until you realized that it was the same man who was a creep from the gala. You vividly recall Sam's words; with this man's business fluctuating badly and his poor work ethics, your thoughts gradually eased and snapped yourself out of it. He did see that one coming, you suppose.
You couldnât be any more grateful that youâre far from that circle.
::
While you were terrified, it didn't stop you from going outside by yourself. Normally, this routine of yours is done during day time. However, resting got the best of your time this weekend and so with a resigned sigh, you came prepared with a pepper spray that you blatantly held as your free hand pushed the cart. Your stock of groceries wouldn't be done by itself, after all. Were you paranoid? (The answer is yes, rightfully so).
The mundane chore was going well.Â
Until you were on one aisle, on your tip-toes, barely reaching the chips that were now placed a tier higher than normal. Itâs like a trick and you were being played, as coincidentally, it was the last one on the rack. You irrationally listed this as a bad sign - change wasn't to be welcomed for you in times of horror.
The lighting grew dark and it shadowed you. it triggered your fight or flight mode as this person towered you from behind, the scent strongly engulfed your senses and so did their body frame, making you gasp as their front was almost pressed against you.Â
They picked up the item for you and as you turned around, it was Sam.
She hasnât preoccupied your mind for a while and you take in her presence as a fresh breath of air.
"Hey, pretty girl, I don't want you getting hurt." She joked and dropped the chips herself on your cart.Â
"Fancy seeing you here," you retort with equal amusement to the woman in front of you. You thought it was unfair that she always stunned you as you saw her casual get up.Â
Sam wore a bomber jacket and a navy baseball cap. She handheld her own cart and interestingly filled it with junk food, just like yours, and a couple of cleaning disinfectants.
"Do you usually shop this late?â Sam quips gently, hearing the concern in her tone.
You sheepishly smiled, "I know. But in my defense, work kept me late unfortunately. Or maybe it was me over napping..." admitting it out loud felt silly. "I don't have much of a choice. I ran out of stash in my pantry and while it's not really a good time.. wait, I donât mean that with you, but what I meant is that, given the circumstances happening right now - itâs horrifying to be out and about."
Sam raised an eyebrow at your rambling. She found it endearing that you had to clarify each time how you liked her company.Â
"And what circumstances are we talking about?"
"You know, the whole killing thing," you hushed down low and kept walking with Sam who hummed right behind you. "Havenât you heard it yet? It honestly had me worried. I don't want to be put in that position."
You both come across the isle of candies, you picked up a couple of them. Embarrassment soon crept in the more you confided your fear out in the open and how you revealed your unhealthy fix of snacks in the presence of Sam, the woman you're swooning about.
"I see. That explains your trusty pepper spray," Sam nodded along in understanding. "Say, do you mind if I accompany you? Sticking together could be better, after all." she lightly nudged your side with her arm and swiftly took over to push your cart by her own.
An easy smile crossed your features. You can't say no to spending more time with her.
"I'd like that very much."
::
The simple scare and business exchange was the start of your reconnection with Sam.Â
It seemed that Sam was sticking for good - or near you. At least, thatâs what you thought so. Her place couldnât be that far as you happened to come across her for a few times already.Â
A few days later she surprised you, sent a rather straightforward message and opened up how she misses you (you almost fainted on that message). Come the weekend, Sam called you to say that sheâs sending a driver to pick you up around 6 PM. After you gave her your address, Sam notes to dress in nothing strict and formal as the gala, and you quote Sam who said in her own words: just bring your pretty self.Â
It was rather bossy and forward, if you were being honest. Though your senses dulled it out of bias, being Samâs friend in the past she hasnât done anything to put you in harm.
Another thing that brought you to a conundrum was how it sounded like a date but you didnât want to be that hopeful â even with her endless flirting. You simply note it as another Sam evolution; a part of her confident self. The driver who picked you up was dressed in casual business attire, no older than late 20s, gave you a polite smile. He introduced himself as Martin and referred to Sam as Ms. Loomis and as you were in a phone call with her, she immediately confirmed to you that it was indeed your ride.
Relief washed over you, feeling secured enough with the whole get up. Especially with the case of brutal murder as of recently.
Arriving at the place, the door was opened for you and he mentions that heâll be parked at the same place. The restaurant itself was one of the places you havenât had a chance to visit yet, mostly because you didnât feel zealous to spend a lot of money on a glorified casual meal. The ambience striked your interest immediately, the interior was cozy, and welcoming â especially for whatever they served, the aroma made your stomach rumble.Â
Looking around, it was opposed to what you expected â there was no single sight of business suits hovering in the place. They were stuffy people in casual attire, maybe.
âYou made it.â Sam stood up from her seat and your eyes fluttered at her beauty once again. Her floral scent was hypnotizing and covered your senses as she went for a hug. âHow was your ride?â
âIt was nice. I like your car,â you timidly say as Sam pulled a chair for you.Â
âAnd I like your outfit. You look so beautiful, (y/n/n.)â Samâs words were earnest and crimson quickly spread on your cheeks and rose up to your ears.
The stark contrast of her in formal attire with slick ponytail was apparent, yet equally so attractive. Sam stood in plain tight polo, baggy pants and some sneakers with her hair loose. She gave you a warm smile and her eyes also did a once over to your figure; you were dressed simply in a knitted zip top that hugged your torso, some trousers, and decent platform shoes.Â
âSays you. Youâre absolutely charming, itâs unfair.â
âDonât start that with me, honey. Weâll be here all night arguing about that.â
Sam grinned at how you affectionately rolled your eyes at her quip. As you settled in and looked at the menu, you noticed the familiarity. It was on par with your tastebuds. She definitely remembered your type of crowd. You hid a smile with this information.
However, your joy was temporarily cut off as you noticed the server giving Sam the heart eyes as she took note of the order, although the latter paid no mind, swiftly reiterating your orders with her polite smile, it didnât stop you from getting irrationally bothered on the inside.
You should have seen this coming. Surely, other people were bound to find Sam attractive as much as you do.
âHave you ever been here?â Sam eagerly questioned, her doe-eyes all on you. âI was nervous to pick a decent place, to be honest. I didnât want it to be stuffy and stiff, but not too casual â only because I wasnât so sure with your taste now, so I relied on my (y/n) senses.â
You were quick to nod off, âNo. I was interested but I never had the chance.â a slow appreciative smile spread on your lips. âYour senses were right - donât worry, Sam. They definitely serve the type of food I like. I hope you didnât compromise that much for me." While you liked the thoughtfulness, you wanted Sam to have a good time as well.
âWell, thatâs great! It means you can enjoy it with me that way. Donât worry, based on their menu it seems appetizing for me, too.â her eyes lit up assuring you, and it was an adorable sight. She showed you another side of her again, reminiscent of how you remember her relaxed state and wasnât as constricted from the gala held days earlier. âI have to ask.. is this setup okay with you? In case youâre⊠seeing someone.â
Youâre surprised at her interest at your love life. Her attention remained fixated on you and it made you blink couple of times.
âDefinitely not seeing any woman right now. Nothing recently.â you hint your preference, in case Sam hasnât picked up on it yet even before. You havenât come out back then.Â
Sam smiled at your response. âThatâs a relief. Means I wonât be breaking any faces any time soon.â your eyes widen at her words. âIâm kidding, (y/n/n). Or not.â
You nod along at Samâs words with an unsure smile, not knowing what she exactly meant by that. You shrug it off as her odd humor.Â
âWhat about you, any lucky person yet?â you asked, it was your chance to know more about her too.
A playful smirk was written on Samâs features.Â
âFunny thing is that it's the same case for me, I haven't gotten around it for uh, for some reason.â she ended sheepishly and shuffled a bit on her seat. âI could be eyeing on someone, who knows. But I have to be mysterious to you.â Samâs voice dropped an octave lower. If you didnât know any better, your delusions would think that sheâs implying suggestively to you.
While her vague answer didnât provide you what her type was, it was a relief for you to know that Sam is not off the market yet.
Both of your smiles barely wore off since then. Soon you were finally eating your go-to food and Sam with her chosen pasta. You debate whether you should finally ask Sam of her sudden disappearance, but you really didnât want to spoil the mood either.
âAre you okay? Something wrong with your meal?â Sam leaned in to you and you quickly motioned no.Â
âNo, no. Itâs justâ I want to know, why did you have to leave?â you canât help it but the hurt dripped on your tone. âIt was so sudden and I havenât heard from you since then⊠and now, youâre here again.â
You felt silly because it was a long time ago. Seeing Sam in flesh again gave you a whiplash, you valued her presence as she was your confidant during your hard times. If it werenât for the gala, maybe youâd be left wondering until now, youâll never know.
Warmth covered your hands, surprised that Sam has taken them to intertwine with hers.
âI canât say the full details yet. But.. Iâm here to stay. Believe me, honey. What happened then - it has something to do with my father. You knew how unstable things were at home, right? And I was expected to⊠step up into things at a faster pace than I can ever imagine,â
You only had a slight idea â if Sam before wasnât very talkative and open â it was a thing that definitely remained until now. Sometimes their house was rowdy, full of men that wore notable sparkly ostentatious accessories. You only knew that his fatherâs job was demanding and that he was uptight, didn't want Sam to be out late, she had to sneak to parties, and was harsh with his words - even in front of you. It reflected the fear that glinted in Samâs eyes when you were caught at their house, at the same beat, Sam also seemed to respect him. It was odd and the similarity of her tone was not lost on you but you didnât push further.
You also wondered how Sam's sister, Tara, is doing and most likely all grown up now.Â
âIs it enough for you right now?â Sam meekly asked you, hopeful glint in her eyes.
You mimic her playful smirk from earlier.
âOnly if we get mint ice cream right after this and Iâm paying.â
Sam let out a relieved sigh, leaning back to her seat and an easy going grin gracing her features once again.Â
âAlright, whatever your heart desires, (y/n/n).â
::
After a wholesome reunion (or date?) the two of you were on a weird loop. At least for you. She was bearing gifts that werenât so little at all â packages were being sent to your house, always coming with a handwritten note that said âreminded me of youâ with a scribbled wink, sometimes a heart, and seeing Sam became a part of your routine. It was all you looked forward to every week â seeing Sam â that your friends even asked whether you were dating someone as you appeared more occupied than ever. Â
At this point, you have visited restaurants and stores you could only imagine. Sam mentioned that having to try delicacies with you was a terrific experience, she liked your honesty and fun quips of critique. Although it shifted to something youâd say â a bit odd. While she was warm and welcoming, she never stopped by at your house.
Although you werenât going to lie, it made you curious. Disappointed, too. Was she embarrassed enough to avoid being seen dropping by in the eyes of the public, in an intimate way? Granted, there wasnât anything intimate going on.Â
Other than that, it dawned to you how tactile Sam was with conversations. It was always knowing something new and familiar, never delving into something deeper.
For her sweet quips, you remain confused whether it was flirty and intentional, after all, you didnât think that Sam was to take interest in you romantically speaking. So, it was a challenge for yourself to not get any less flustered. Especially when youâre crushing over her.
::
"Hey, pretty girl. Wanna eat out tonight?" Sam smoothly asks you from the other line and you snorted at her forwardness.
You peer over your window at the kitchen before shutting the blinds. You didnât know whether it was still the lingering paranoia you felt over the gruesome murders and the irrational fear that you could be next.Â
What if they were watching you?
"Dunno Sam," you scratch your nape, debating your answer as you remembered the events happening outside. "Is it safe? A brutal death happened recently. And you know, honestly, Sam â it rattled me a little more than I thought it did."
"Is this about the CEO? Honey, I've told you that he was already in deep shit. his decisions have probably caused him to dig himself into a bigger mess unimaginable."
The lack of care in Samâs tone surprised you a little. But your mind weighed in the facts; these were billionaires who fucked up, didnât do anything good for the others, and put themselves in the wrong crowd. You give Sam credit for that similar thought as you assume.
"Okay, but stillâŠ"
You hear Sam cooing in sympathy. "If it helps, I have my men around. Weâll be safe. Youâll be safe with me, don't worry." she promises with conviction enough for you to believe her.
You hummed as you rethink your answer. You wanted to hang out with the woman you've been crushing over (again) and having an idea of how her bodyguard's in question are built, you feel yourself leaning more to saying yes.Â
"I guess that helps yeah- you just had to be so damn convincing, didn't you?" Even if this was a call, you can already see the stupid grin that Sam has now. "Alright, I'm sold with that. I'll see you later, Loomis." you playfully sing-songed to which Sam giggled as you dropped the call.
::
âLetâs try something new today.â Sam said in her low voice and to your surprise she held the car door open for you in the passenger seat and you werenât in the backseat this time.
âDonât we always?â you refer to your eating escapades with her.Â
To your shock, Sam went to the driverâs seat.Â
She was the one driving for today?
âNuh-uh. Weâre going to my house.â
âWhat?â
You turn your head fast to face Sam with your expectant eyes; filled with surprise and excitement. After all, your brain was racking itself with much curiosity of what is going on with your friend slash crushâs personal life. When Sam caught the glee in your expression, her own eyes crinkled at the corners and muttered something about how adorable you are.
As you parked outside, you noticed familiar vehicles that tailed the one you and Sam were in. You only saw a few of them before, the men only looked at you out of politeness â as if their eyes werenât around to linger â and they were more pliant with Sam. It instilled an idea that your friend was this much of a respected person.
âDonât worry, theyâre with us.â Sam informs you and you were shy of how evident you were glancing at the side and at the back.Â
You took tentative steps inside her home, surprisingly it was bursting with colors. It was apparent that Sam liked the idea of experimenting when it comes to style, as her interior and decorations felt straight out of magazine.
In her living space, she offered for you to sit first. She looked messy this time â not as neat after work, her hair down again instead of the usual ponytail, which seemed unnatural for someone so polished for her professional state.
âThis was all of a sudden, sorry. I canât⊠Iâm a shit host for tonight. Iâm honestly not feeling well today. I can get someone to fetch our food, whatever you like, itâs on me mi quierida.â
âYou couldâve postponed this thing that we have. I mean, I donât mind.â Okay maybe that was a complete lie â but you didnât want Sam to feel forced.
Sam tilted her head. âAnd risk depriving myself of not seeing you? I do mind that. More than you can imagine. I guess you could say that I selfishly wanted you all by myself tonight, regardless.â
You feel somersaults in your stomach â making you squirm at your seat. Before you can process her words further, your attention panned to Samâs hands and grew alarmed as you saw a faint view of her knuckles were red, you figure it'll be bruising the next day. She tried to hide it a lot as soon as decent lighting was present. Sam discarded her silver watch and then removed the champagne from the bucket near her to submerged her closed fist as it contained ice. It clinked against the metal, and as seeing her face, her chestnut eyes kept fleeting over you â observing.
"What exactly were you doing anyway?" Amusement was in your tone, although concern crept in quickly. You didn't want Sam to be hurt in some fight club. Or any way, for that matter.
Sam beckons you, "Come here." she softly uttered. as you did, her free hand rested on your lower back. "I ran into a small inconvenience. I guess you can say that I handled it well."Â
You snorted at her poor joke. A boyish smile spread on her pretty face.
"If you're joking with that shitty pun⊠I'll take your word for it, Loomis." You slid an arm around her neck, patting her shoulder affectionately.Â
It was truly a gesture meant to be playful but it appeared that it became a cause to shift things between you two. The proximity made you hyper aware with your heartbeat pounding loudly by the minute. You canât even look Sam in the eye, remaining frozen.
"Uh-huh. You should trust me with it, mi quierida. You know I always mean well.â
Sam smirked, as though she knew something you didn't. She was difficult to decipher at most times but you shrug it off, noting it as a part of her charm. It was her thing thenand apparently, until now.Â
Case in point: her sneakily trailing her hand lower as they were, now resting on the slope of your ass. She grabbed you by its underside, feeling her fingers digging into the flesh. Knees growing weak at the contact, you barely stifle a gasp. It was surprising yet very welcomed and better than you imagined.
She rubbed her calloused hand back and forth on your back soothingly. "Stay... stay the night with me.'' Sam whispered as she nosed the crook of your neck, her breath against your skin spreading goosebumps.
It was an all-too familiar scene, however, Sam was bolder.
âLet me give you your present for tonight,â Sam husked out, her face moved to bite on your earlobe â her hands needy all over your body. âor⊠just say the word and Iâll stop,â
You were pulled in, moaning as you finally cracked through the tension. Both of you no longer teetering in friendly boundaries. It was hard not to â not when it was Sam you adored for a great chunk of your life and how her siren eyes were pierced onto yours. As Sam was nervous, you were simply stunned and returned the same feeling as you did.
"Okay,â you responded shakily yet you moved with an ounce of bravery, finally affirming your answer by grabbing Sam by the nape and lips crashing with much need, electrifying you.
Sam devoured you in her satin sheets until you were swollen, frazzled, and dripping.Â
::
The next day, you discover that another case of murder has happened in your town. This was an odd occurrence, as while death is inevitable, it was surprising to hear more of them happening in a short period. More so, it was unusual to hear of a brutal case in your normally nonchaotic town.
Fear began to creep into you as your colleague mentioned it was another CEO yet, this time it was the woman whom you've also met from the gala â being there, meeting these people and hearing them as nothing but reported deaths now felt like a bad omen. It created quite the buzz in your workplace, after all it was one of your company's competitors, too.
Shiver ran down your spine; you couldn't be next, right?Â
If you were to follow the pattern, it only suggests isolated killings of wealthy figures and you couldn't be any farther from that. You were another normal person whoâs only trying to get by.
Then you remember Sam and the extra security she provides to you. All this time she had kept you safe and away from harm. You found solace over the thought, so you exhale and tried your best to let go of your worries.
::
In all honesty you were only expecting to pull connections that can land you higher positions that promised bits of grandiose escapades in between â all tied to your work during that gala â and youâre surprised that you landed in Sam instead, though in a much more compromising position that ignited your whole body for days. Sometimes you canât even move due to soreness. More often, you burned and yearned for Samâs touch.Â
Itâs like the woman imprinted on you.
Sam finally brought you to her actual place which was a good breaking point. As soon as you saw past the soaring entrance and the modern architecture that greeted your wide eyes. So far, it appeared that she was indeed the only one based on your frequent stays â only men in between casual and formal attires, some being her bodyguards and maids as well were around the area.Â
You were surrounded by a lavish wardrobe that you can only dream of. You were amused that you share similar skin-care products as her when you first used her personal bathroom. It was a good coincidence, it made your stay-ins much more comfortable and efficient.
The spacious place felt intimidating to your bones as you walked around halls and doors after one another, although youâve handled much more terrifying things that were specifically this she-devil.
It was a surprise to you how she can swoon you with her gentleness and barely any of that remains in the bedroom activities. She was absolutely rough and domineering.
She continues to take you to different places youâve never been to before. Though, now they were private and more high-end properties. Today, Sam took you today to where you wouldn't normally get your sexy undergarments.Â
It was sultry and inviting to the ladies. The assisting ladies were polite, kept a minimal distance, and didnât blatantly stare unless their attention was called to. You and Sam came by fairly early, hence the lack of people, you assume. You were fascinated with the quality of the garters and fabrics that felt different on your fingertips.Â
One of her men, Martin, stood by inside the store. Sam assured you that everything was fine, itâs only a precaution and more of a just-in-case business thing. She kissed you before you could ask anything else, effectively distracting you.
Finally having both of your picks, you were welcomed by another part of the area where the sconce's recessed light only added to the thrill that was covering the lavender hall of the boutique. It certainly made the atmosphere downright sinful and erotic. For a minute, you thought that maybe you can handle being Samâs dirty secret. You felt so dizzy. Feverish. Needy.
Sam placed a final kiss to the side of your neck before she was gently ushering you to go, seeing the familiar look of hunger in her eyes as if she was controlling herself - it made you shiver with the same desire - then you went in to fit.
You nervously stood in front of the mirror, doing final touches on the laces. Sam insisted that she prefers seeing you fit the lingeries instead of her dropping them on your face out of nowhere â something you appreciated.
Slipping yourself into the intricate laces of the lingerie, you were unable to stop nitpicking on the blemishes and stretch marks that were on your skin and how apparent they were beyond this flimsy material that attempted to cover your intimate parts.
âDonât forget to show them to me, alright?â Sam hollered from the other end.
You try to suck it up, being snapped out of your insecurities. âWanna come in here?â
âNo, come out here.â
In disbelief, you shook your head no even if Sam couldnât see it. What did she mean by that?
âAre you crazy? Thereâs⊠there could be people out. Just come here,â you whisper-yell to Sam.
âThereâs no one. We arrived early and just â trust me. Itâs only me out here, seated, completely alone.â
You hesitantly move the curtain in the fitting room and step out. Indeed it was silent and no one was there just as Sam reassured. It helped that the room was actually just for the two of you. As you stood there, you felt so naked and raunchy, being were dressed in nothing but lingerie.
âWhatâs the verdict for this?â
Sam was manspreading on the emerald upholstered chair and you stood in between her legs, inquisitive.Â
âOh, baby.â
âHow is itâŠ?â you fiddle with the laces, not meeting her eyes.
Sam looks at you with her mouth agape. She didn't say much but surprise was written on her face. You cannot help but overthink still, as your skin wasnât flawless nor ridiculously skinny like any other models that Sam surely had been entwined with at one point⊠or even now.Â
âHey, are you feeling okay, (y/n/n)?â Sam questions and taps on her thigh. âYou arenât comfortable with this one, are you?â she worriedly asks, her hands on your side, rubbing to soothe you. âBecause you look so stunning to me, god,â
You refuse to meet Samâs eyes, âI- I donât think I look flattering at these. Iâm no model, Sam. Surely you had better.â the distaste on your tone didnât go unnoticed by the woman who frowned at your words.
Your insecurities began to gnaw in rapidly; what if Sam had other women on days you werenât available? It made you sick to your stomach.
âWhat makes you think that? Oh, baby this is the best Iâve ever had.â Sam tugs you by your forearm and while you are teary eyed, she places a gentle kiss at the back of your hand. âIâm sorry if you felt forced to do this. You can take it off now if you want. If Iâm being honest, I only thought of wanting to see you strip for me."
The explanation had put your mind at ease. It definitely gave you a sense of comfort that to some extent, you do matter to Sam.
âWe could have thought of something else. I.. Iâm just not feeling this, Sam, it doesnât fit me. Iâm sorry.â
Sam's heart sank at your words. You werenât to blame at all. Soon, you felt her fingertips subtly tugging down your skimpy underwear to which you put your hand above hers, halting her movements.
"What â Sam, someone might see us," nervousness washes over your expression, you don't want to get caught in such a vulnerable state.
Sam only looked at you with her dilated eyes. "As if I'd let them see this. Trust me, we just have to be quick, princesa, because I canât wait much longer.." her fingers smoothly went to hook her fingers under the garter of your underwear and moved to grab the base of the fabric. âLet me apologize to you in this way.â She gave it a pulling tug, your moan vibrating in the small space as it deliciously cupped your pussy lips. âYou look so beautiful right now, (y/n/n).â
You barely stifle a moan from erupting out of your mouth and feel yourself drip with wetness.
âMy pretty girl is getting turned on with a fucking wedgie? Youâre just as turned on as I am, arenât you?â Sam moistens her lips, âSo pretty and all for me. You canât be loud in here baby, I need you to stay quiet. Donât want others to hear you moan.â
âThought- there was no others,â you whimper at Sam who only smirked.
âBut the assistants are outside. Canât have them knowing youâre such a whore for me, hm? Now turn your back to me and look at your pretty reflection.â
Nodding your head profusely, you swallow the lump in your throat. It made Sam chuckle in delight, her eyes gleaming. She pulls up the fabric once again, youâre sure that a wet patch is now evidently staining it. She pokes it with the pad of her two fingers and brushes them back and forth, the friction bringing you pleasure.
She interrupts your reverie by halting her motions, unclasping the bra off you and the intricate straps â one your eyes lingered to â only you didnât realize that Sam saw the dismay on your face, as though it didnât fit you. It would be an understatement for Sam to say that she abhors seeing you treat yourself this way.
You observe her hooded eyes now full of desire as she looks up to you â itâs undeniable with how it matches her actions, feeling Samâs thumb pressed then on your back muscle, letting go to run over her hands all over your torso. Itâs soothing although given your position, you feel the want and her touch intoxicating you.
âSam, please.â you begged, ass pushed to her direction with your posture bent over.Â
She merely laughs and smacks her hand hard on your ass. The sound echoes in the dressing room. You hissed at how it stings.
Sam had always found your curious look so endearing. You always looked so ready for her to take, attentive, always so curious and beautiful.
She moves her hands agonizingly slow and sensual to your hip bones â brushing her thumb against them â to the skin right under the curve of your ass. You shriek out loud with eyes rolling back to your head, temporarily forgetting that youâre in a public place as Sam notches it up by squeezing you tenderly.Â
Repeatedly.
âLook at the mirror, (y/n)â Sam sternly orders. You shudder with eyes wide, still not moving. âMy little bunny is not dumb, arenât you, my sweet thing? Donât make me repeat myself.â
You gulped audibly and a string of moans were pulled out of you as Sam kneaded your supple breasts pleasingly. Being bare while Sam was fully clothed made you uneasy. Looking at the mirror didnât feel right - seeing yourself become this needy and you meet Samâs eyes in the reflection. What was her point in doing this? You donât know either how it intimidates you yet a tinge of excitement is unmistakably laced underneath your impression. While you werenât new to her roughness, this was particularly still felt exhilarating to you.Â
Lost in a haze of lust, the ambience changed within the store â it felt as though you were trapped in a heating chamber. Itâs charged and so electrifying to be in a compromising position with Sam â while it was a secluded and high-end one that provided privacy, you hoped that no one barged in soon.
Sam left a kiss on your lower back and feeling her hot breath brush on your skin made you shiver run down your spine, snapping you out of your worries.Â
âIâm going to need you to sit between my legs, (y/n/n). And Iâm gonna fuck you with my fingers until you understand in your pretty head that youâre beautiful, hm?â Samâs words echoed titillatingly on your whole body, your breath hitched and bothered.
Soon as you sat hesitantly onto the couch between her legs, Sam gripped it and opened it wide for you as she saw you squirming and shakily closing your legs. You saw yourself in the reflection - how bare you were. And all you can think about is Sam and how youâre about to soil the velvety seat. She tuts at your shyness and manoeuvres her hand, wrist curling as she glides one finger over your soaked slit, gasping at how you were already so wet â teasing you.
You sharply inhaled, chasing more of Samâs touch. âTold you that Iâm gonna fuck you in front of this mirror, baby. So donât hide yourself. Iâd like to keep you like this, so gorgeous and ready for me.â
Sam did it for you â adjusted her own thighs to accommodate your legs, placed them on top of hers and spread them for you to see how exactly you were dripping. The wetness trickled down the expanse of your inner thighs out of your folds. Sam had a wolfish grin, what youâd describe as predatory and hungry for you. Lolling your head back to Samâs shoulder, you hear her grunt as she glides her fingers now directly to your folds, eventually entering inside of you.
The sloppy sounds of your wetness echoed in the room. It didnât help that you felt Sam pressed the base of her palm against your pelvis as her curled fingers rammed madly inside of you. You were pouring out your arousal.
âOh Sam, oh fuckâ fuck, fuck!â heat rose on your belly, coming in waves. Sam responded by pressing kisses on your now sweaty face.
âMm yeah? More?â
âYes, yes⊠Please, Sam!â
You were lost in the haze of lust, driving you dizzy, as your pussy kept pounding with Samâs rapid thrusts. A slew of guttural moans were out of your mouth â not even minding how loud you are now. You feel how your own core clenched and sucked the entirety of Samâs fingers, taking a peek in the mirror proved it enough â it was a terrible decision for you.
âOpen your eyes, come on now, my good girl. Donât want you to miss out on how beautiful my sight is.â
Your teeth caught your bottom lip, you comply for Samâs sake. She called you a good girl, after all. You kept bouncing on her slender and now thoroughly soaked fingers, your slick all over her pants and you saw how it trickled down to damp and darkened the very upholstered chair. Seeing yourself blushing and so fucking used, your pussy squeezed once again over Samâs fingers and to both of your delight, her thumb pried and did circular motions to your clit.
The pleasure shot you straight in waves over your body and vibrated so deliciously.Â
You meet Samâs thrusts and as you bounced, you also saw how intently focused she was on your reflection.
âGod, look at these tits,â Sam roughly squeezed the flesh, making them aggressively jiggle. âI fucking love having you like this baby. Arenât you my good girl?â she hotly whispered to your reddened ear, giving your earlobe a bite.
Her other hand that supported you by the waist, crawled up to grab the very breasts that she verbally appreciated.Â
âCome on, say it.â Sam gave it another squeeze â plenty that made you mewl â and tugged your perk nipple harshly. âand look at me as you do.â
âYes, yes, yes! Iâm.. Iâm your good girl!â
âMine only,â Sam growled and you felt her teeth sinking in the skin of your neck, biting and nipping. âOh how I wanted you for so long, like this for meâŠâ
You moan as you turn your head, not minding the awkward angle, not in this needy state of yours you did mind. Neither did Sam, who was visibly appeased with her pearly grin as you do â even more when you shifted your gaze to the mirror and this time, you actually stared at it.Â
âSuch a pretty thing, arenât you?â
Your hand slithered to Samâs nape, who was almost as breathless as you. You tried to keep a firm grip on her as you feel more lost in the pleasure.
âYes, Oh⊠oh! Sam!â
You nod instantaneously making the woman smile even wider. Soon, Samâs fingers were sloppy wet and rapidly applying pleasure on her pad and focused on your very clit. You couldnât do anything but elicit more expressive moans and squelching noises that bounced through the room as Sam fucked you dumb. The coil in your stomach finally untangled, leaving you breathless.
You meekly look at your figure in the reflection once again. Your cum trickled down continuously, leaking out of your pulsating hole. Sam panted lowly in your ear and inserted her hand again, making you grab her inner wrist as you felt the oversensitivity. She hushed you to calm down and she was gently pumping.Â
It was indeed a pretty sight.
The thick slick of your arousal and cum soon was on your lips, Sam prying it open. It wasnât up for discussion â you didnât hesitate either. You taste the bittersweetness coating your tongue and mixed with your saliva, eagerly sucking out of Samâs fingers. She moaned at your enthusiasm, encouraged by this you sucked more of your remains out of it, your teeth grazing along and Sam pushed it deeper until you felt her slender fingers slightly poking at your throat.Â
Once she was satisfied, she handled you differently by flipping your position so now you straddled her leg and faced Sam instead of the mirror. Her lips quickly made its way to give you open mouthed kisses to your sternum, to your neck, finally your mouth.
âYou did so well, mi amor. And you were so pretty.â You shyly nodded at Samâs praise. âRemember that, hm? Regardless of dressing like this â lingerie or not â Iâll look and appreciate you the same way.â
âMm-hmm,â you lazily nodded and met Samâs gaze.
After Sam helped you dress your clothes. While being fucked the lights out earlier was heavenly, the walking out of the fitting room was not pleasant at all. Your legs feel like jelly, you can barely walk properly without Samâs tight support on your waist (you refused her offer of carrying you not wanting to be further embarrassed) but it helped that there werenât any side glances from the assistants.Â
Oh, heavens. You forgot that Martin was also waiting inside the boutique. Even if he remained mum, you couldnât be any more humiliated today.
Sam pushed back her slightly tousled hair and you helped her smoothen the back of her clothing. As for her trousers, the damage has been done and itâs currently stained with your wetness. An odd sense of pride came at you because you did that.
Sam held the undergarments â even the one she destroyed and fucked you into and personally offered to place it inside of the provided bag and then handed her black card.Â
âWeâll take the seat too, the green one in the fitting room. Iâll send someone to pick it up today.â she uttered in what you recognize as her professional voice, the lady simply smiled, replying with Yes, Ms. Loomis, as she agreed with no hesitation.
You hid your face in the crook of Samâs neck and your cheeks burned. Sam only giggled at your shy reaction. She wrapped an arm around you and brushed your hair gently as she leaned closer to you.
::
âCome back âere.â Sam lazily mutters, voice still raspy. She was still in bed which was such a miraculous sight. Not only because her godly body was exposed but the fact that she stayed in. Her arms were reaching out to you, caressing your bare lower back and eyes barely open. âItâs so cold, you know.â
You gave her a wistful smile. âAnd you do know that Iâm out of clothes here, right? I also happen to have a place of my own, Sam.â
âYou can alwaysââ
ââborrow yours, yeah. I know, Sam. But I have to go. My work stuff isnât here either.â
She sits up fully. âOkay, baby.â Sam replied dejectedly. You shake your head at how sheâs acting like a kicked puppy and barely the same as an insatiable sex god from last night. âHow about I drive you home? This is an inarguable offer, by the way.â
Sam gave you a pointed look and you canât help but think if sheâs tricking you â seducing you, almost. Sheâs unashamed with her nakedness and the way she crossed her arms, further made her biceps prominent, the mysterious scar across them, and her supple breasts gave you a mouthwatering view. You chose to ignore how your stomach fluttered at her use of endearment. The more time you spend with Sam, the more they slip out.
âDonât talk business to me, Sam. Youâre so annoying.â You turn back fully facing her with an impish disbelief, grasping at the sheets to cover yourself.Â
Sam looked at you with childish glee on her face. âExcuse me, you were the one who brought up work. Iâm simply reminding you of what you are absolutely missing while Iâm on leave for today, mi princesa.â
âFine, fine. It's not my fault that Iâm a corporate slave.â
âThatâs why being with me is a good idea.â Sam insists with a kiss on your jugular notch. âCome on, I was planning to make your favorite dish. Maybe you can do it with me, what do you think?âÂ
âVery professional.â You sigh at Samâs silliness unfolding in front of you. âYou just know all the right words to sayâŠâ
She crawled her way to you, shutting you up by capturing your lips with soft ones. It was chaste and you felt her smile in between. Moments like this only tugged at your heartstrings. It deluded you that it was somehow coming home to your girlfriend, only to be shaken to the reality of you knowing it was an unlabeled limbo with an old friend. So you shift, initiating with much force this time, getting rough with how you were kissing Sam as though it was your last time.Â
âAm I still annoying if I do⊠this?â You feel Samâs calloused fingers smoothly trailing on your inner thighs, making you shiver. You throw your head back as you reeled to her touch. The familiar wetness reemerged on your core once again.
Before she could do anything else, her phone rang. Sam immediately went for it and barely a trace of her sweet disposition remained as she excused herself.
You blinked at her reaction, paying not much mind to it. Instead, you let your body relax in the softest mattress youâve ever laid on and quickly, youâre pulled by the thoughts of Sam again, missing her already as you sprawl onto the bed, smelling the distinct coconut shampoo and addicting lotion that she uses and how it clung to the space you laid in.Â
Half an hour had passed. Getting up, you look around where she could have been, only to find her out in one out of two living rooms, absorbed with the phone call she's in. It wasnât your plan to eavesdrop but your heart sank soon as the words became much clearer to your ears.Â
"Yes, I'm dropping by the strip club tonight... of course."Â
Strip club⊠tonight? Her words came out in a hush, obviously Sam didnât want to be heard or rather, caught. No wonder she has been insistent on you to stay this morning.Â
You simply weren't Sam's fix for this evening.
With cautious steps, you retreat back to Sam's bedroom and with the disgust that brewed in, bile rising in your throat, you start dressing up.
"I thought we agreed that you're staying?" Sam raised her hands in confusion.
"Work couldn't wait, sorry. Itâs bugging me the more I ignore it.â
Samâs face fell immediately at your sudden change of mind. Your heart twinged a little, almost believing that it was genuine.
"Alright. Let me drive you home, (y/n/n)."
Your smile twitched as you hummed in agreement. Suspicion and confrontation will rise if you didnât, and given what you just found out, you truly didnât feel up for it.
"I'm bummed that you won't be cooking with me, just so you know. I'll make it alone - don't worry, it will be filled with love and care, a perfect fix as you get your reports done." Sam enthusiastically clasped her hands to you and it only made harder for you to stop the tears that were threatening to pour.
The way Sam took you in her grasp, arms loosely clung around your neck and the mesmerizing gaze she held was doing the opposite reaction. You felt repelled, uneasiness continued to flow through your mind. You've just heard her in the same beat a few minutes ago planning to go to not only a mere club to drink for fun - but a strip joint? Her intentions became even more confusing to you.
Your resolve was crumbling and it was becoming apparent when Sam leaned in for a hopeful kiss and you dodged it, her puckered lips hit the corner of your mouth instead. If she was baffled and had finally picked up your sour mood, you didn't see it as you continued to avoid her gaze.
The car ride was silent. It didn't even occur to you that Sam actually drove you home, but instead of filling the space with laughter and bickering over your taste in music, the two of you were met with an odd silence. You peer at the window throughout the ride, the silent turmoil grew inside of you at the backseat as the car drove on your way home. Eyes fluttering rapidly, you feel the waterworks coming in. Of course this was only a matter of time before it was confirmed to you that you werenât only the one being fucked by Sam.Â
You felt gross. The inkling worry that filled you previously turned out to be right. You just hated yourself for blindly trusting her and giving further meaning to her mistaken gentleness.Â
::
Honestly, you did plan that to be your last time to see Sam.
At least temporarily, you wanted to avoid her. You kept making excuses about how you had a lot of work to do. You knew it was unrealistic to actually avoid her forever, not when you literally were tangled with her on her sheets for a couple of months already. Unless you were to flee the country, of course. The idea is slightly tempting. You consider it, albeit impractical, itâs one of your last resort of choices.Â
You were used to her scent from her bedsheets to her clothes and to her sleepy self arguing that she is very much awake during your random movie nights, her voice â everything revolves around Sam now and you hated it.
It felt like you were a teenager again with a hopeless crush on the girl youâve liked from afar for years.
Even as you pulled away from Sam, your brain was racking through heaps of what-if thoughts â were you ever enough? Why did she have to make you feel so special, leading you into this domestic bliss? She always made time. Besides the good, you witnessed her downs, the aggressiveness, how her indistinguishable job took a toll on her. All because she let you in. You wondered why she even thought of you as worthy as such, yet made you feel of being less than that, at the same time?
However, if there is a light to all of this domesticity you shared with Sam that gave you warmth, there were also a lot of questionable actions that she specifically kept on doing. She appeared hesitant with dropping you off to your house and insists that one of her drivers will do the honors instead â with the sex on the table, it made you feel disposable and cheap â or how sometimes hours after sex; you get a sleepy glimpse of Sam sneaking onto the balcony. The faint noises of her raised voice in her phone, doing god knows what â you were there, unaware if it was a conversation with another woman and maybe, just maybe, Samantha Loomis wasn't as heartfelt as you naively believed her to be.
As you expected she didnât drop by at your house. Her little gifts and take outs from restaurants that you liked and visited with her continued to be sent every weekend. You didnât know whether it was out of pity or a proper goodbye in her own terms, making your stomach churn uncomfortably at the thought.
Your friends werenât any less worried even with your now constant appearances for hangouts and karaoke nights, they gently explained that your mind often fled elsewhere and your gloomy disposition was noticeable. Itâs not that they were annoyed, your friends were concerned more than anything. So, you finally open up but not too much. You retell you were in this Friends with benefits recently and it ruined your sanity, for better or worse, all in vague descriptions. After all, you were sure that now Sam was more likely ashamed of being seen by you and wanted to keep her bachelorette status.
The chorus of oh sweetie in an understanding tone immediately came and when they hugged you, it worsened the longing you felt for Sam and how you have been entangled with her this whole time.
âIt sucks how you can get roped into that so suddenly.â Jane, your friend, empathised. âdoes that count as a situationship â or whatever it is they call it nowadays?â
âLetâs call it friends with benefits for the sake of simplicity.â Margo, the colleague who ironically was one of the main reasons why you got into the gala and met Sam, nodded her head with no hesitation. âI donât understand why it is that hard to communicate something simple as that. And getting her fix of pleasure in another place, too, Jesus Christ.â
âFeels a bit of a power trip to me. Based on what youâve said, how sheâs got a sexy mysterious vibe going on and while that sounds sexy in other ways, I can only imagine how it mustâve taken a toll on you, (y/n).â Jane adds with a forlorn expression on her face.
They were expressive with their opinions - you liked how your friends were very protective of you. They felt betrayed almost as much as you do soon as you mentioned that Sam was a friend of yours way back.
Although, you hated how thereâs a lump in your throat and a part of you was ready to jump in Samâs defense. Before you drown more in the thoughts of her, you decided to pour another shot.Â
âFuck that. Letâs drink to this,â your words come out slurred and your friends only follow suit.
Sam didnât stop spamming you with messages. It was expected considering that sheâs the most insistent person you have met yet. Still, you shrug her off, saying that you work overtime these days and you donât feel like being a booty call for a while â or ever for her. But Samâs resolve proved to be unwavering as she updated you about her thoughts and invites of coming back home; her words, not yours.
::
âYou know, if youâre up for it, you should totally meet this girl. Most blunt person Iâve met yet, so.â Margo indiscreetly implies that it shouldnât be as troublesome as your previous limbo was. âSheâs also really hot. And just down for either something casual or serious, depends how you talk about it.â
âMargo, you know I donât thinkââ you shake your head. Besides being full of what-ifs and considering that you might have a good time, your thoughts keep bouncing back to a specific Latina in your mind.
Your mind swirls, not knowing why it feels like a betrayal deep down.
âJust give it a chance.â Margo interrupts, firm with her stand. âOne date. Itâs also been almost two weeks since youâve been moping. You know we donât mind that but- I just wanted to tell you that the dating pool is full of choices.Â
Whatâs the worst thing that can happen?â

heartbeat conquest â day 2.
SYNOPSIS. youâre sucked into a reverse harem otome game, and thereâs only one goalâ say the right things to conquer as many pretty boys as you can. PAIRINGS. tomorrow x together x reader. TAGS. social media! au, modern fantasy, reverse harem (of fucking course), romance, humor, a whole bunch of weird dynamics maybe HUAHAHAHAHAHHAAH. inspired by the manhwa with the same title, âheartbeat conquest.â
considering the less than bare minimum amount of information you have on your targets, it wasnât easy to come up with a decision.
of the five, you have managed to unlock three. sanctuary is choi beomgyu. you have no idea why thatâs his nickname when the first thing he does is boss you around. his interest is evident in his 0% conquest rate (for now). from what you can surmise based on the description the system gave youâ him being an arrogant and egotistical fuckâ you believe you might do yourself and him a favor by humbling him a little. in short, youâre not showing up.
another contradictory nickname to the interaction is saviorâ kang taehyun. now, what is up with this guy?Â
admittedly, you might have slipped up, not catching onto the passive-aggression of his first text, but you were going off of no context, so forming a positive response would have been close to impossible. still, from what you know so far, it would be difficult to figure out what exactly is on saturday. hence, it would be difficult to prepare for.
now lover is an interesting guy. choi yeonjun. he texts you that he misses you and is shocked when you respond becauseâŠhe thought you blocked him? is your ex? a player? he seems to be an attention-seeker, and you have an inkling that making him want your attention would be the best move. therefore, youâre not seeing him this saturday. it seems like he and beomgyu also know each other. picking one over the other might cause some conflicts.
that leaves two targets that have yet to be unlocked: angel and knight.
both appear to be your typical sweet, polite, soft boy love interests from a shoujo manga.yet thatâs all youâre working with for now. it would be best to pick one of them. just to dig in deeper and find out more.
though, youâre meeting choi soobin at two in the afternoon, youâre already out and about by 10:00 a.m.
first, to get yourself familiar with the environment, of course. you had the idea that this is some preppy private university, but the scale of TSC is just atrociously large. there are facilities for almost everything, training grounds for every single field and specialization. how you managed to find your way to EB 201 was a revelation.
turns out youâ or the character youâre playingâ is quite well-known around campus. as a transferee who got admitted late into your second year of university, your talent having been discovered late.
âitâs the first room up the stairs,â jaeyun tells you, one of the students youâd just asked around for directions. heâs bright and smiley and, quite frankly, very good looking that you almost mistook him for a love interest or target. but all your targets so far seem to have known you. and when you tapped on jaeyunâs shoulder thirty minutes ago, armed with a smile and prettily batting eyes, he seemed to be taken and taken off guard right off the bat, and asked for your name and major. âor...or would you like me to accompany you upstairs? let me carry your bag for you!â
the otome effect is quite impressive. âitâs alright,â you smile at him. jaeyun droops and his energy deflates. âi can take it from here. thank you!â
since he isnât any of your targets, you feel no remorse leaving him behind while you climb up the stairs, shoulder in bag in tow. and just as jaeyun says, youâre met with the door labeled 201. a beat of hesitation creeps up on you. but there seems to be no other options than to just knock and follow your targetâs instructions.
so, you do. your knuckles hit the wooden door. once. twice. three times. knock, knock, knock.
a click and a creak. the door opens to another good looking guy. âhi! sorry to interrupt. is choi soobin around?â but he isnât the one youâre looking for.
in fact, the one youâre looking for is very easy to find. because even when you take a peek into the room and are met with around six, seven other men, your eyes immediately land on choi soobin.
how?Â
because heâs the only one with a big purple heart floating right above his head, with a bright and shining 0% right inside it.
âsoobin!â the doorman hollers out with a huge grin. âa girl is looking for you!â choi soobin need not that signal to notice you, because he already has, from the moment he caught your eyes, and you greet him with a smile and wave. you notice a few of the other guys staring and getting flustered a bit, wavering to bump their shoulders and elbow at your target, coughing inaudible whatevers, yet the percentage on choi soobinâs head refuses to waver, even with the faint pink brushing his cheeks, the shaking of his head when he mumbles something inaudible to his friends.
of course, this game wouldnât give you the grace of an easy difficulty. looks like this guy is deeper than he appears.
âquit it,â you hear him laugh off before jumping to his feet, getting off from his seat. âyouâre giving everyone the wrong idea.âÂ
âiâm sure we all have a pretty good idea of whatâs going on here.â
âlater, dude! have fun with your assignment.â
his friendsâ insinuating remarks aside, you canât help notice that despite choi soobinâs apparent easygoing air, with each step that he takes to approach you, you can sense his ease slowly disappearing, melting into a jittery nervousness thatâs masked by that same charming, boyish smile you saw on his photo.
âdid you wait long?â he says, standing right before you now, giving you the privilege to bask in the perfection that the system described. it almost made you miss the hard swallow he forces inâ right in the second before he takes away the weight of your bag from you. âsorry about that. i shouldâve waited outside.â
âoooh! choi soobin, quit flaunting your moves!â
choi soobin shushes them. you use it as a chance to get a better look inside the classroom. ânot at all,â you reply, and it doesnât appear as though they were just conducting a meeting. why is he saying that he shouldâve waited outside when he instructed you to knock and ask for him? âletâs go?â
he looks at you, smiling ever so perfectly. âsure.â
now, in order to avoid any massive fuck-ups, you made sure to look through all the shit in your dorm room earlier. anything that can provide some hints and contexts of this damned gamed that you got sucked into. you discovered that you were majoring in international relations. you discovered that your class with choi soobin is a just a simple elective on organizational communication, and all there is to your paired assignment is to write a report on max weber and henri fayolâs bureaucratic theory and scientific management, and would take an hour maximum to do so you donât get why choi soobin was making such a big deal out of it.
heâs hard to understand, thatâs for sure. you donât get what his motives are. especially when heâs pulling out all the fucking stops by opening the large, library door before you could even more your arm an inch, by dragging your chair out for you before you could even reach out for it. âdo you want to rest for a but? iâll cover the sunlight for you,â he says, when he can just pull down the blinds because he led you to the tables next to the window because âthe view is pretty here,â he says. and when you suggest to transfer to a less crowded spot because people started pouring in at two-thirty, he strongly went against it.
âitâit isnât that crowded yet,â cho soobin argued. âdo you mind if we transfer a little later?â
how odd. whatâs even more odd is despite all of his explicit acts of interestâ
âwhatâsâ whatâs wrong? is there something in my hair?â
why is that floating thing above his head still at zero?
ânothing,â you hum in response, smiling. choi soobin looks mortified at the prospect of something unbelonging in his hair that he whips out a hand mirror. âwill you excuse me for a bit?â
he settles down the mirror, a hesitant hand lowering down to the desk. âoâoh. yeah, sure,â he responds. âwill you take long?â
âwould it be a problem if i will?â you bounce back. he shakes his head and tells you to go ahead, carry on, attempting to reshape his distraughtness with a practiced smile of ease.
hints? progress? what? you canât dwell on the sudden updates from this damned system, because when you look up from your phone, you see soobin surrounded by a lot of people. different people. not the same ones you saw from the classroom earlier. âyou ditched hanging out with us to work on an assignment?â one of them says, jokingly. soobin denies it with a laugh. âarenât you working on that new pretty transferee from IR? did she ditch you too?â another one raises. well, you already know that the premise of this game has your name floating around and about. it feels weird to hear it upfront, though.
âhaha, no, she just left to answer some texts.â
soobinâs defense sounds weak. heâs brushing them off with the same easygoing attitude. âyou really went for it, huh?â one of them hums, nudging him. maybe this is your cue to interrupt. âi told you you two would look together! didnât i?â
ah. it definitely is your cue to interrupt.
âsoobin?â
ding!
âshould we get back to work?â
the moment you step in, you see itâ that mocking percentage flickering from zero to one.Â
1%. huh.
thatâs interesting.Â
âyeah. good timing.â
choi soobin looks at you with an expression that you can only describe as gratefulness.
âsorry, guys! we still have a lot of work to do.â
this is interesting, indeed. youâre surrounded by a bunch of expectant eyes of bystanders left and right, like theyâre watching a movie right before their eyesâ and you and choi soobin are the main leads. this is quite the situation. and your co-star appears to be both nervous and relieved: relieved that you showed up, nervous while waiting for you to react or respond.
now, how should you deal with this situation? and how do you settle the other four you just ignored?
NOTE. the questions are a bit abstract this time HUAHAHAHAHHA hopefully they arenât too difficult to answer đ i personally hate the limited response choices in otome games bcs most of the time, i wonât act or say in ways that are readily provided. i hope ur all the same as me so u can enjoy this game too đđđ
also, iâve received feedback that theyâd like their actual names to be put instead of the nicknames, and dw!! i will change it to their real names once all of them have been unlocked HAHAHAH.
as usual, answer the form linked above to progress the story. i will close the form once iâve reached a consensus in the responses. hope youâre all still having fun!! thank you for joining in!!

Hai there! :3
Hope youre having a lovely day/night! I wanted to say I love your works!
Iâve been following your opposites attract universe and I have to say I love it so so sooooo much!! Its just so sweet and beautifully written! Addams! matz is now my roman empire.
I have a question though after reading the fight and the apology parts of the story, since hongjoong basically NEVER yells but did in fact yell at darling, do you think darling for a good period of time would be a bit distant from joong? Like sheâs knows sheâs forgiven but would she be too scared to make a similar mistake? Cause if it were me where I was able to make someone who never gets mad, mad. I would know I FUCKED up big time and Iâd be so nervous to be around them đ
If Darling does somewhat become a bit distant how would Hongjoong react to that too? Like would guilt practically eat him alive? đ
Thats all! Thank you again for your works I love reading them!! đ
i was going to reply to this like it was just a simple question but i must writeâŠâŠâŠ..
not proofread yet
as you stand outside hongjoongâs office, you canât help but feel your heart beating a mile a minute. itâs silly, you know that, and yet you canât help but hesitate. heâs on the other side of that door, after all, and try as you might, you simply cannot let things go back to normal. itâs only been a few days, yet you havenât crossed the threshold into that room even once. youâve barely even spoken to hongjoong, in fact. apart from mealtimes and night when he cannot go without you in his arms, you opt to stay far out of his way. itâs not that you want to, but instead you feel like you have to.
itâs for your own peace of mind.
except this time you canât. this time, youâre under strict instructions from seonghwa to fetch hongjoong for dinner. he knows what heâs doing, the corners of his mouth tilting up in an annoying smile after you tried to come up with some excuse as to why you had to avoid hongjoong. clearly none of them worked since here you are.
you knock, three light taps against his door so as not to irritate him too much. heâs working, after all, and you know better than to get in his way while heâs working. âcome in, dove,â he calls, surprising you as he refers to you by name; how could he tell from a knock alone?
the brass doorknob is cold as you push the door open tentatively, your feet remaining firmly at the threshold. itâs a surprise to see him turned away from the desk, eyes already upon you before you even fully reveal yourself. thereâs a smile on his face, soft and delicate as though heâs gazing upon something beautiful. heâs gazing upon you, but standing before him with your bottom lip tucked neatly between your lips and your thumbs picking at one another, itâs hard to feel like youâre anything but worrisome.
a hand rests upon his lap, fingers drumming lightly upon the thick black fabric of his slacks. the seat he flaunts looks oh-so-tempting, but you refrain from taking it. from closing the gap and shoving your face in his neck like youâve been craving to these past few days. he always smells so nice; warm spices and home.
âhow could you tell it was me?â you ask as you shuffle from foot to foot in his doorway. his smile grows wide as he studies you.
âseonghwa enters immediately after knocking, yeosang wouldnât be visiting me, and you,â he pats his lap twice, your favourite seat becoming just that more tempting. still, you somehow manage to hold yourself back, âwell, you never knock but since youâve been avoiding meââ
âi have not!â you squark, eyes going wide and feet finally carrying you forward into the lions den. your hand slips from the door it had been holding open, and the slam of it shutting lets you know that you are in fact trapped. thereâs no escape from hongjoong now without it being plainly obvious that you are in fact avoiding him, although that seems to be a fact heâs already grown wise to.
hongjoong seems to be aware of that fact too, as the moment the door encloses the both of you in the confines of his office, he taps his lap yet again. this time, you almost break.
âyou see, if you werenât avoiding me, youâd already be in my lap,â he tuts at you, relaxing himself in his chair and letting his legs spread. as sweet as the spot on his lap looks, you must admit that the one between his thighs is equally as enticing. you could sit there for hours just staring up at him in wonder.
you take yet another step into the room, more than happy to deny yourself the pleasure of his lap, less happy to remain so far away from him. you might be avoiding him, but you canât deny yourself the simple pleasure of seeing his pretty face up close. the sly smile he wears when he teases you is admittedly beautiful, even if it does annoy you to no end.
âmaybe i just donât want to sit in your lap right now,â you argue, to which he responds with a scoff. rightfully so; if youâre going to lie you should at least try and make it believable. âor maybe i just donât want to get in trouble with seonghwa by making us late for dinner.â
another chuckle, although you suppose this one is even more deserved than the first. youâve never had a problem flaunting seonghwaâs orders and rules before, so why start now? defeated, you give him a deep sigh.
âcome here, dove,â he says through his amusement, adoration laced through every word he speaks. you take another few steps closer, although not as close as it seems he desires you to be.
hands wrap themselves around your hips, tugging lightly at your body until your stumbling forwards into hongjoongâs grasp. they move around your body quicker than you can squirm free of them, pulling and pushing at your limbs until youâre arranged exactly how he wants you, straddling his lap with your hands resting tentatively upon his shoulders. it takes just a few seconds for his arms to snake themselves around your waist, locking you in place.
his head is tilted in such a way that he can appreciate the sheepish look you wear. the way your eyes look anywhere but his own, and the way your jaw ticks in something akin to agitation, although hongjoong knows you far too well to assume that that really is the case. if you were agitated, your pretty lips wouldnât be pressed into a pout, theyâd be forming cute little insults that hongjoong would have to try his hardest not to find sweet. if you really were agitated, hongjoong would know better than to tighten his grip until you have no choice but to lay with your torso flat against his.
you donât even resist when he traces a finger up your spine to the nape of your neck. it tangles itself with the strands of hair that twist around another, soothingly tugging on them. it doesnât take much more than that for you to finally relax against his frame, sinking into the warmth his body offers you.
âi wasnât avoiding you,â you whisper, just loud enough for him to hear.
âliar,â he murmurs back.
âi wasnât!â you insist, âi just⊠i didnât know what to do around you. you never yell butââ
âi did.â
you hum in agreement, âyou did.â
hongjoongâs arms get tighter around you as though heâs afraid you might slip away unless he holds on tight. you donât mind; the pressure is honestly quite nice. it helps melt your inhibitions, your fear of telling hongjoong exactly how you feel. you shouldnât be scared when itâs quite obvious how much the man adores you.
âit felt like something changed between us,â it doesnât feel so hard to admit that when youâre in his arms, âi didnât want to do anything that might change it even more.â
youâre met with a few seconds of silence; itâs hard to discern whether itâs comforting or anxiety inducing, yet youâre more than happy to sit in it. if hongjoong needs to take a breather before responding then youâre happy for him to do that. youâd much rather sit uncomfortably for a few seconds than have him raise his voice at you again.
although something inside of you tells you that itâs unlikely for that to happen again.
âyouâre silly, dove,â he finally responds, forever taking place in just those few seconds. âthe only thing that changes between us is how much i adore you, and that continues to grow and grow each time i see your face.â
âit canât have grown much these last few days then,â you comment, âyouâve barely seen meâŠâ
âoh, but i have,â he says it as if itâs obvious, âi see you every time i close my eyes. whenever i blink, youâre there, saying something cheeky to seonghwa that you know will get you into just the right amount of trouble to get you what you want,â he brings you closer still, his grip so tight that youâre certain your ribs might crack under the pressure, âso yes, darling, my love for you has grown exponentially these past few days.â
you canât help but let yourself smile, tucking yourself into that sweet spot between his chin and his shoulder to hide it. he smells so good, just like he always he does, and you pull a deep breath in through your nose. cinnamon and home fills your senses and you realise that no matter how hard you try, you canât stay away from hongjoong for long.
heâs just as much your home as seonghwa is.

Would Mabel being the reincarnation of Bill cause a rift between her and her family? I imagine that even though they know that Mabel and Bill are two different people it'd be kinda hard to get over the fact they ARE fundamentally the same being, especially for Ford.
Now, that's the problem. They AREN'T two different people. That's the whole point of this specific AU's take on reincarnation. It's not "Mabel happens to now possess the soul that was formerly used by some other guy" but rather "this is that guy after working on himself for thirteen years, she just didn't remember it until now."
"We know you're two different people" is the kind of thing her family might say to be reassuring. But in her ears it'd be like if she's on trial for murder and her family says "We love you because we know you're innocent," when actually she did totally commit that murder, and it was premeditated, and she didn't even have a sympathetic motive. Like it's nice of you guys to say that and I know you mean well, but if you only love me because you think I didn't do anything wrong, would you still love me if you understood the truth?
The biggest rift is on Mabel's end. She's holding back from letting them find out for as long as possible. It's not coming out until they put together the evidence themselves or she has a breakdown and confesses while in tears. And, naturally, when she's trying to keep that big a secret from them, she's gonna be withdrawn.
Like, there's a very high probability that Gideon finds out before any of the Pines do, that's how hard she's trying to keep it from her family.
When they DO start finding out?
Dipper's known Mabel almost fourteen years; he knew Bill two months. He's gonna get over it the fastest.
He's cracking annoying brother jokes before you know it. "I meanâyou didn't manage to kill me in the womb, I don't think you're gonna do it now." "I forgive you for the sock puppet thing but now I REALLY wish I'd done more dumb stuff in your body while we were body swapped. As pre-revenge."
If anything, ultimately this turns out to be GREAT news for Dipper. He spent all last summer being pissed off that Bill had all the secrets of the universe and just wouldn't share them, to be a dick. WELL GUESS WHAT. NOW THEY'RE SHARING A BEDROOM. He's keeping her up until 3 a.m. asking about every conspiracy theory in history until Mabel lies "sorry, my memory of that one hasn't come back yet. Maybe my memories would return faster if I could GET SOME SLEEP..."
Stan's known Mabel off and on for fourteen years, and has gotten to know her really well over the past year; he knew Bill forâlemme check how long his death scene isâunder two minutes.
Try to tell Stan that Mabel's Bill and his first reaction is "WELL THAT'S STUPID AND I DON'T BELIEVE IT." "But she can set fires with her brain." "Sometimes teenage girls do that! I saw it in a horror movie!" He's gonna process the news about the same way he'd process it if Mabel told him that she's some gender he's never heard of before: he's confused and too damn old to understand this complicated identity stuff, but he loves her even if he only understands half of what's going on, and he'll punch anybody who looks at her funny because of it.
Ford's only known Mabel since last summer; he's known Bill over 32 years.
This AU ain't a fic, so there's not a single set plotline, just a whole bunch of ideas that may or may not actually happen if I were ever to turn it into a story; and because of that there's a lot of ways things could go down with Ford, on a wild scale from hilarious to heartwarming to tragic, depending on what I think is interesting on any given day. But in many potential timelines, the first and most pressing question Ford's facing isn't "can I still love Mabel even if she wasâisâBill?"
It's "How do I kill Bill again?"
Because he knows Mabel the least and knows Bill the best, he has the best odds of looking past what everyone else sees as "haha that's just Mabel being Mabel!" and going "that's Bill fucking Cipher"; and because he hates Bill the most, he's the absolute last person Mabel would voluntarily tell about her exciting new personal discoveryâmeaning that he just has to draw his own conclusions. If he sees Bill looking at him through this little girl's eyes and clearly trying to convince Ford that he's not Bill he's gonna assume Bill's back from the dead and possessing his niece.
If Ford finds out, Mabel's not just afraid he won't love her anymore; she's also afraid he'll want her dead. If anything, him thinking she's possessed would be a good thing, because it'll buy her a little time while he's looking for a way to "extract" Bill to "save" Mabel, whereas if he knows the truth he'll know there's no Mabel to save.
Worst case scenario, she fears that, if he finds out, she's dead as soon as he can get his hands on herâunless she can find a way to defend herself.
Of course, this is Gravity Falls, where the power of love & family always wins, so in reality if he found out no that IS Mabel it'd stay his hand while he tries to figure out what's going on. His hatred for Bill is weaker than his love for his family. But she doesn't know that.
After all, Mabel's known Ford for 32 years, and for 30 of them he was on a suicidal vengeance quest to kill her; he's only been her grunkle since last summer.

Could you please write a short story on reader distancing herself from chan bc another member (any member of your choice) confessed to her that they caught feelings for them too and reader feels really conflicted since they do not want to cause any tension between the group and reader is scared to tell chan but also doesnât know what to do?? like they donât want either party to feel bad and kind of are thinking about leaving chan so that thereâs no conflict, but chan finds out in the end, and they talk about it?
Absolutely love you and your work!â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđ„°đ„°đ„°
Hurt - part 1
[You rejected Hyunjin because you are dating Chan]
BangChan x Reader x Hyunjin
ïżœïżœïżœđ€ read guide lines in Masterlist!
THIS IS (OBVIOUSLY) ALL FICTION AND IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY! THIS IS MY PERCEPTION OF HOW I THINK SKZ WOULD BEHAVE IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS AKA, NOT REAL.
03:43 AM
It was the middle of the night when you got the messages. You couldnÂŽt sleep because of your boyfriendsÂŽ snoring anyways, so decided to unlock your phone very quietly, to check it.
You couldnÂŽt believe your eyes. Out of nowhere? You talked to yourself. But it woke up your boyfriend, who is well known for his light sleeping. Hm? You didnÂŽt want to talk about this with him all sleepy, so you played it off. Nothing babe, go back to sleep. You kissed his forehead, and he did as you said. Then you looked back at the screen filled with the words you didnÂŽt want to see. You couldnÂŽt have this conflict, espescially not in the group. Why did he have to tell you...this made things incredibily difficult...for litterly all of you. You liked Hyunjin...but only as a good friend, nothing more. Ever. You were hopelessly in love with Chris. You wished Hyunjin never had send you these messages. ItÂŽs like the universe heard your wish, cuz as soon you thought of it...the messages dissapeared.
Even though he deleted the messages, you still read them. It couldnÂŽt just be deleted from your memory now too. You decided not to reply anything. Did he see that you were online? Did he see that you read the messages? Did he feel guilty and thatÂŽs why he deleted it? You had many questions. But most of all, you kinda hated the fact that he deleted it...since now you couldnÂŽt show it to Chris, if you had to...cuz you always wanted to be honest to him about everything. And this felt like something you had to talk to him about. Also because well... itÂŽs one of his best friends....but also a member of his group. This would stir up alot, and with the comeback and all...you didnÂŽt want them to have a conflict. You decided to just leave it for now, and hopefully you could both just forget he ever said it in the first place.
07:00 AM
Chris his alarm clock went off. Both of you groaning since you didnÂŽt wanna get up yet. 5 more minutes....pleaseee. He giggled. Nauuur baby, itÂŽs an important day. ItÂŽs the first day of rehearal for the tour stage. And you promised youÂŽd be there. Right after he said that he jumped out of bed, going into his bathroom, taking a quick shower, brushing his teeth etc. You did the same...after your extra 5 minutes of sleep. When you were done, dressed and ready to start the day you walked into the living room. Innie was already up. Morning...sleep well? He asked kindly, but a little worried. You nodded and looked at him questionably. I donÂŽt know, I had to pee during the night and saw light coming from under your door. Thought you might have been awake. You remebered the messages, from Hyunjin. Oh that... yea I couldnÂŽt sleep for a bit, due to this beautiful personsÂŽ snoaring. You said as you pointed at Chris who obliviously walked out of the kitchen, into the living room with you both. Hm? Me? Snoaring? Nah. Never. He grinned. It made you two laugh too. Well letÂŽs go shall we? ItÂŽs gonna be a busy day! You both followed Chris out of the door. He noticed you looking down at the ground a bit as you stumbled behind Innie. You okay baby? You were nervous to see the other members. Hyunjin mostly obviously. You nodded and faked a smile. IÂŽm really happy youÂŽre coming with us today. He said as he kissed your cheek and gave you a side hug, then grabbing your bag and carrying it for you. Me too.
08:03 AM
Chris and Innies apartment was close to the company, so you arrived in no-time. As you all got into the building you kept looking around to maybe catch a glimpse of Hyunjin yet, so you could maybe talk to him in private before hand. But unfortunetly, you didnÂŽt see him. Not until you 3 reached the rehersal stage. There he was. Talking with Seungmin about a part of the dance. The second he noticed you he stood still. Looking at you with a wide-eyed gaze. Shit he mustÂŽve known you did in fact saw the messages. Chris and Innie joined the others as you hung back for a bit. But you kept on observing the boys as they got started on their warm up. Smiling at Chris here and there, but then loosing that smile as soon as you remebered the perdicament you were in. Hyunjin looked at you from time to time too, and you looked back but immidiatly after, youÂŽd look away and look down. Chris started to notice the tension between you two and commented on it during their first break.
11:34 AM
What is up with you both? You two fighting or something? You shook your head but kept looking at Hyunjin, who was currently drinking some ice coffee. No, something is definetly up y/n. You sighed. You finally decided to cut the bullshit and got up, walking towards Hyunjin. Grabbing him by his arm and have him follow you backstage.
Why did you send these words to me Hyunjin? You know I am dating Chris. I am in love with Chris! This...what you did...it makes things complicated. I am sorry, I just had to tell you. ItŽs how I feel y/n. You sighed again. You understood how difficult it must be for him as well. But that didnŽt mean it wasnŽt difficult to you too. CanŽt you, forget about those feelings and pretend it never happened? I can not lose Chris. But I also donŽt wanna loose you, Hyunjin. You are one of my best friends! He stayed quiet for a bit. I knew you would never choose me over him, I truly do...but I just had to say it. So youŽd know. Yeah, well, me knowing isnŽt good either. I donŽt know what to do now... You donŽt need to do anything.......itŽs good that you rejected me. You both stayed silent for a bit. You saw him tearing up a bit, since well...even though it was never your intention...you did break his heart. When you saw tears streaming down his face, you felt bad and hugged him. I truly am sorry...I hope you understand though...what position youŽve put me in, and yourself too. He nodded, understanding that if this got out, there would be conciquenses. You cannot tell Chris. Not now. Maybe in the future. But if he knew, heŽd be angry. He looked at you with his red teary eyes. Okay. He then walked back on to the stage, with you following him quickly after. The boys werenŽt blind and they obviously noticed his teary face immidiatly. Chris mouthed to you from affar šWhat happenedš. You replied šDonŽt worry about itš. But he obviously wouldnŽt let that slide so easily. As the guys walked closer to the both of you, it all started. Why is Hyunjin crying y/n?

hello again! Could you make the sully family including Mo"at and tonowari family react to how to train your dragon and both of them to be in the same universe.
hello sweetie! Okie, so its been so loooooooooooooooong since I watched the movies, so I took my sweet ass time to re-watch the first movie [idk if ya wanna ask for more in the future]. So I only placed the important events. So sit back, relax and enjoy~!!
---------------------
Myth or Ancient?
âHere, and be careful not to touch the shiny part with your fingers, it can ruin the colors. So it's super delicateâ Norm carefully instructs tsireya and rotxo who nod enthusiastically. âYou can trust us Norman sirâ rotxo promises with a wide happy grin. Saying their byeâs, tisreya and rotxo run to the village as they start to talk about what sort of âsnacksâ to eat for when they watch the disk called âmovieâ.Â
âDemon technology is very interesting when it is not scary. How can this round thing show colors or people?â tsireya wonders as she stares down at the flat box that is protecting the disk. Rotxo shrugs, âeven if loâak or kiri explains to us, I get the feeling we will still be confusedâ he says. They make their way slowly as they look at the cover of the thin box.Â
Tsireya squints her eyes and reads the letters but if anything, the bold red kinda annoys her eye site. âThat is a lot of redâŠâ she muttered. She usually sees human language in green or white. Rotxo leans in, âdo you think the colors have different meanings?â he wonders. This time tsireya shrugged.Â
Loâak and neteyam were showing aoânung how a camera works while their parents chat in a not so far distance. Everyone had their noon meal, stomachs full and in a mood for tea as the other villagers enjoy their relaxing day.Â
âWait so I just stare at this circle thing and-âÂ
*SNAP!*Â
âOw! My eyes! Did it just blind me!?â Ao'nung screeches dramatically as he rubs his eyes, adjusting from the sudden flash of light. Loâak was cackling like a madman as neteyam chuckles at the reef princeâs antics. âOh I have to see the result!â loâak says as he snatches the camera from aoânung.Â
As the boys looked at the result, moâat, jake and neytiri were talking with tonowari and ronal. âThere are many ways the people have enjoyed themselves, even with demon technology that causes no harm. We do keep it very limited to usage and the purpose of itâ neytiri explains to tonowari and ronal. And as if on que, running towards them was tsireya and rotxo.Â
âMother, father, look what sir Norman granted us to seeâ tsireya says happily as she shows the thin box to the adults. Tonowari leaned in to see. âThere are tiny letters that I cannot read so well,â he says. Tsireya hands it over to Jake to see if he can read which, Jake grins happily. âBabe, it's your favorite movie,â he grins. Neytiri's ears perk up and tail swaying happily, âhow to train your dragon?â. Jake nods in confirmation.Â
âWhat is it?â Tonowari asks, âsomething I believe you might all like. Come, let's prepare for what we call a movie nightâ Neytiri smiles wide as she answers his question.
Food was cooked and shared, many mats, cushions, and other forms of sitting was set as Jake and norm prepared the projector. Tonowari and his family got the best seats, right at the center where they can see the view perfectly.Â
âHow will we see thisâŠmovie?â Ronal asks as she cradles her young baby. Spider brought little treats for her baby kindly answers. âIn simple terms, the movie will be seen like physical people telling their story, like 3Dâ. Ronal just stared at him, lost at the explanation. He chuckles nervously, âyou know what? Best to see the magic yourselfâ.Â
After 30 minutes of everyone huddling together, sharing their portions and for the Eclipse to take full effect of the night, norm began to press play.Â
And for the metkayina family, they gasped in awe. Massive colors of mountains, the sea, the clouds! They looked so solid and floating in mid air!Â
âMajic of holograms-âÂ
âOk shut up loâakâ
 âThis is BerkâŠâÂ
The main character began to speak, narrating about his home and life. Show how it is at night, from the animals to the form of the berk village. The whole style captured the reef naâvi attention very well.Â
âIncredibleâŠ.â Tisreya mutters as she leans against loâaks shoulder.Â
âThe only problems are the pestâÂ
The scene zooms in on the poker face sheeps, enjoying their nightly dinner with all of a sudden claws grabbing it. Aoânung and rotxo gasped, just what was it?Â
âMost people have mice, or mosquitos, but we haveâŠ.âÂ
A door opens to see the sheep running away, and a monster flying dangerously close looked at the open door and breathed out fire.Â
âDragons!âÂ
âDragons? What are those?â Tonowari asks, neytiri not far from his family simply smiles, âproud and fearless creatures, like the ikrans' '. Neytiri pops a popcorn in her mouth as she snuggles with Jake, enjoying her all time favorite movie.Â
âDragonsâŠâ Ronal repeats but with wonder. Oh they definitely have the familyâs attention now.Â
âWhat is he doing out here ag-what are you doing out here?! Get inside!âÂ
âThat is stoick the Vast, chief of the tribe. They say when he was a baby, he popped a dragon's head clean off from its shoulders. Do I believe it? Yes I doâÂ
Hiccup narrates of the large man who was able to easily pick him like nothing.Â
Tonowari looks at the leader being show, âwhy is his face mostly hair?â he asks. âThats how the vikings were back then. Said to attract and scare off anythingâ Jake replies easily. Tonowari hums at that, slowly liking this stoick guy.Â
The movie continues to show the insanity of the dragons attacks. Their fiery breaths destroy so many homes, taking animals left and right. And the people fend them off in many ways. Utter chaos all around, but shows how it is their normal everyday life.Â
For loâak and spider, hiccup has become their favorite character. Despite the awkwardness and having to be kept inside from dangers, they can understand him on a deep level. Which is why they understand hiccupâs need to kill a dragon, his way of âmaking his markâ.Â
âOne day broâŠone dayâ loâak whispers to spider. But the human boy nudges him away, âdude you became brothers with a tulkun. I think you already made your mark on thatâ spider says in a deadpan way.
Spider can understand hiccup from how their own bodies are. Yes spider isn't shaped to stand the planet's environments but he makes it through. Just like how hiccups is small and lanky, he makes his way through his crazy viking life.
âSo many different types of dragonsâŠ.and many are so uglyâ Ronal says as hiccup lists different dragon species. Tonowari can't help but chuckle, his guess, dragons are not meant to be a pretty sight if they are considered dangerous creatures of the skies.Â
âThere are prettier dragons you knowâ Neytiri comments.Â
Ronal turns to her, âhow so?âÂ
âLater you shall see. I rather not spoil the funâ
As the scene goes on, the one, the only, night fury dragon has entered the battlefield. Everyone cheers for that dragon, a common favorite in the clan. âAmazing! I want to see the full view of the nightly beast-what is hiccup doing?â it was rotxo who said that. He enjoyed the building hype until the next part focuses on hiccup setting up what looks like a trapping weapon.Â
âHe is going to get himself killed!â aoânung whispers/shouts.Â
âYeah, that is going to happen a lot in thisâ neteyam calmly answers as he offers popcorn to aoânung to whom happily accepts.Â
âYes! Did anybody see that?!â hiccup shouts excitedly.Â
âHe didâ tsireya points happily as the monstrous nightmare dragons crawls up from the cliff.Â
âWell he is toastâÂ
Neytiri cringed a bit at Jake's joke, but held in her laugh.
But as the next scenes go, things didn't go as smooth as stoick would have liked. Having more things being burned at the dragon chases hiccup, only for later to be given a lecture in front of the massive crowd.Â
âI feel you hiccupâ loâaks voice cracks as a single tea falls from his face.
âThe forest looks so prettyâ tsireya comments as she admires the pretty view of the berk forest. Similar to the omatikaya forest, yet it is still different. Human environment truly never bores her. But as she admires the scenery, they reach the part as hiccup searches high and low for the night fury dragon he has shot down while ranting and venting his anger.Â
âHe found it!â rotxo points out the obvious thing but doesn't care. The suspense grows, hiccup takes out his blade which makes the sullyâs give out a chuckle. âTukâs blade is bigger and sharper than thatâ neteyam says as he calms himself. Tisreya looks over at him. âNow that you mentioned is, where are your sisters? I figured they would enjoy this tooâ she wonders. Neteyam shakes his head, âno, they have something betterâ.Â
Not sure what he meant by that, but tsireya accepts his answer.Â
âOh he is a beautyâŠâ ronal admires the slow scene of the night fury. Capturing every detail and its mesmerizing green eyes. The look of a dangerous, unpredictable hunter. Something about it gives chills down her spine.Â
âIndeed, he is my second favorite dragon,â Neytiri adds. Ronal wonders if another like the night fury will appear later on in the movie.Â
Hiccup takes deep breaths, hesitating, heart racing.Â
âHe isn'tâŠ.he isnt going to kill the dragon is he???â aoânung asks, already feeling sad for the poor beast. Nobody answers. The tension is rising. The music is rising to its peak. Will he do it? Will he cut out the heart?Â
Will the night devil accept his fate?Â
No because hiccup decided to cut the ropes and only faint a minute later after releasing the dragon.Â
âThat was crazy of him, but also with the night furyâ tsireya looks at the scene. Feeling worried about hiccup. There was a lot of stress happening in those few short minutes. âMakes you think if he still wants to follow the âvikingâ style like his peopleâ aoânung comments, making air quotes like how the sully kids do.
âCan you stop that?!â gobber shouts at fishlegs who for some odd reason is doing quick math as gobber lists the dragons that are behind the tight metal gates.Â
âInteresting kidsâŠâ Tonowari obersves how each teenager is like. From the annoying twins to the tough girl act, Astrid. While at the same time, Jake was able to enjoy how Astrid was like. Reminded him so much of a certain tough girl.Â
âToday is about survival. If you get blasted, youâre dead!â Gobber informs. Tisreya claps her hands as aoânung listens to what gobber is saying.Â
âIt is just like an iknimaya. Learning at first hand, "Tonowari says in awe. He enjoys the scene as the kids in screen run for their lives and make a fool of themselves. The reef kids all smile as they remember their early stages and future stages of their iknimaya.Â
âIs it similar to what you had to go through?â Aoânung asks neteyam, the young boy nods âsimilar yes. Remind me of how we tamed out ikransâ.Â
âAnd remember, dragons always go for the killâ Gobber stares at hiccup after his massive mistake. Aoânung and rotxo tilt their heads on that one.Â
âIf that is true, why didn't the night fury attack him then?â
Hiccup began to slowly gain the trust of the nightfury, keeping his distance while feeding it fish.Â
âI guess for humans its harder since neither the dragon or hiccup have a way to connectâ it fascinates tisreya. Using a queue makes a bond easier. However for humans, it takes a lot of work and a lot of patience. And it shows the results.Â
The nightfury, who was given the name toothless, has come to enjoy hiccups presence.Â
âTheir bond grows strongerâ Tonowari looks in awe. Reminds him of how the animals bond and grow alongside the naâvi. As the movie continues, seeing how dragons live, and learning through hiccup, it was literally learning a whole new world, or in this case, the old world.Â
Ronal however, seems to wonder about future possibilities. Balancing a secret and becoming âpopularâ is multitasking. âIt is only a matter before the truth comes to lightâŠâ
Ronal was correct.Â
Hiccupâs secret was found out, without meaning to. He has a final test, to defeat a dragon in the trial dome. Everyone was cheering him on, but his life was in danger. Hearing his shouts, toothless heard and ran for his aid. Exposing to the whole village that the infamous nightfury was there all along.Â
And to make matters worse, stoick used toothless as a naivator to find the queen of the dragons nest.Â
âHe is going to get everyone killed!!â tsireya shouts/whispers. Hugging her knees tight, feeling sad for hiccup and toothless.Â
Clearly a war with the dragons seems very dangerous, even with the prepared weapons to take all of the dragons down, the queen is not a dragon that can be taken down so easily. And when she came to full view, was she terrifying.Â
âSo horridâŠâÂ
âYet to captivatingâÂ
Neytiri and Jake enjoy seeing the metkayinaâs reactions. The reveal of the queen never fails. âThe queen will surely give me nightmares tonightâ Aoânung says, not liking how many sharp teeths the giant dragon has. Neteyam chuckles at that, âdon't worry my friend, a true dragon queen is never ugly. Beautiful in realityâ.Â
Aoânung looks over at neteyam with some doubt, âyou make it sound as if you met a real dragonâÂ
Neteyam didnt say anything further and just enjoy the movie.
âNO!âÂ
Rotxo hid his face with the empty popcorn bucket, not wanting to see the impact of hiccupâs ultimate demise. Tsireya hides her eyes also, ready to cry if the poor boy is dead. âPlease tell me he is not deadâŠI can't look '', loâak chuckles at that. âCome on, look, you will miss itâ he encourages. Gently lifting tsireyaâs chin to face the film, worry clearly seen in her eyes.Â
In sigh of happiness and relief, they all see toothless covering passed out hiccup. Stoick goes to see his son, safe and in one piece. Well, almost in one piece.Â
âOh noâŠâ Ronal covers her mouth as it is revealed hiccup lost his leg. Tonowari leans in, whispering to himself, encouraging hiccup he can do it, he can walk with his new leg. âIt's not going to stop him, for sureâ aoânung says, his eyes so glued in to the final parts of the movie.Â
âIf the queen couldn't, nothing willâ loâak says.Â
âIt was hardly a queenâ netyiri gently scoffing at the dead horrid dragon.Â
The door opens to show the village waiting for hiccup, welcoming back. And with a newfound perspective, thanks to him. Now the village embraces the dragons as their new companions. And of course, a new saddle to ride on, hiccup takes his flight in the new era of humans and dragons.Â
âThis is berk, its snows 9 months of the year and hails the other three. Any food that grows here tough and tasteless, the people that grow here even more sore. The only upsides are the pets. While in some places have ponies, or parrots, we have dragonsâÂ
The credits began to role, thus the movie ended.Â
Tsireya and rotxo clapped enthusiastically, as aoânung nodded in appreciation. Ronal and Tonowari nodded to neytiri and jake, their way of saying thanks for the delightful entertainment.Â
âThat movie was incredible! But, were dragons indeed real? Have they gone extinct?â Tsireya could help but ask. She learned that the vikings were indeed real, but what else was real? As she asks aways, Ronal couldn't help but just notice something.Â
âNeytiri, where are your daughters? I haven't seen them since we got hereâ she asks. Neytiri chuckles a bit as she prepares some late night meals for everyone, âthey will all be here soonâÂ
âNo sooner enoughâ was the voice of moâat as she entered their home. The sully family welcomes her in, the metkayina greeting the tsahik. Moâat sits beside her grandsons and accepts the meal from jake. âWhere is kiri and tuk if I may ask? They missed such an amazing film!â Tsireya asks moâat.Â
âThat movie of the dragons? I have seen it endless amounts of times I can recite the whole thing. My granddaughters would agree on thatâ moâat answers.Â
âBut where are they?âÂ
âEnjoying the real dragon experienceâÂ
This confused the reef naâvi a bit. But before anyone else can say anything, there was a loud shreek. It was an unfamiliar sound, at least to tonowari and his family. But this sound brought smiles to the sully family. âRight on timeâ jake said, everyone running out to see what it was.Â
Opening the flaps wide, ronal peeked out and gasped loudly.Â
âIs thatâŠâÂ
âOh my Eywa they are real!!âÂ
A dragon! A mighty one at that! It gently flapped its wings, landing down safely on a very thick branch. Climbing down was kiri and tuk, whose hairs were literally everywhere. âWe are home!â tuk announces happily, running towards jake who catched her in mid jump. âMom, you should have joined us, it was simply wonderful,â kiri says as she smiles.Â
Tonowari and his family were left stunned and speechless, a dragon, in front of them!Â
âCome on, dont just stand there, you want to meet her?â Loâak says as he and neteyam go to the dragon.Â
âHerâŠ?â tonowari repeats. Neytiri happily goes over to the dragon and gives her many kisses, the dragon releases what sound like pleasing purrs.Â
âYes, this isâŠ..âÂ
The ending is up to you to interpret. But I hope you guys enjoyed it! Until next time! See ya!

Word Count: 6k
Set in the Sweet Nothing Universe
Heâs been in Reno for 3 months and dating Y/N for 3 months now, too.Â
They practically live together now that itâs summer vacation for her. She took on some kids for tutoring, and she sees them a few hours a week whenever they have time. She mostly goes to their houses or meets them at the public library, which is right next door to his work. She brings him in a coffee or a snack whenever sheâs in town, they have lunches together and she even stays a little longer in town so she can drive him home afterwards.Â
Itâs been wonderful.Â
Everyone at work knows her, they call her Mrs. Reid as a joke and she thinks it's cute⊠Spencer, on the other hand, wishes she was his wife so, so bad. Itâs way too early to ask her, even if he knows in his heart that sheâs the one for him. So heâs waiting. Heâs not sure how long heâll wait. He doesnât even know if she wants to get married one day. He still has some things to learn about her.Â
Her birthday is coming up, soon, he knows that much. He actually learned about her birthday when Penelope was first telling him all about her. August 4th, making her a Leo, the lion sign, even though sheâs as gentle as a flower.Â
They havenât planned anything for her birthday yet, it's still a couple of weeks away. He knows sheâs told her kids that sheâll be busy from the 3rd to the 6th, taking 4 days just to herself, she wasnât planning on doing anything. Spencer wants to treat her to something so bad. Be it a nice dinner, a gift she wants or a trip somewhere. So he takes those 4 days off too, he books it in advance with his boss, itâs approved and now he just has to plan something.Â
During one of his lunch breaks that she isnât sitting in on, he takes out his phone and calls up Penelope. Having known Y/N longer, sheâs the perfect person to discuss ideas with.Â
âSpencer my lovely! What are you doing calling me at 3pm on a weekday?â She answers full of cheer.Â
âY/Nâs birthday is coming up, I need your expert advice on what to get her,â he heads right into it, skipping all the niceties, he only cares about her.Â
âTaylor Swift tickets, duh!âÂ
âI tried that months ago, they sold out way too fast,â he complains. âWe missed the Vegas show 'cause I obviously didnât know her in March, all she has left are the Seattle and California shows⊠but again, theyâre all sold out and the resale tickets are insane.âÂ
âHey, six grand for 2 tickets with the love of your life is so worth it,â Penelope teases. âI might have a connection to the Inglewood show⊠maybe I can see if they have any last-minute tickets?âÂ
âHow do you have a ticket connection?âÂ
âMy brother's wife works for Ticketmaster, she said they save some tickets for important people until the last minute and if theyâre not taken, they get released to the general public and you can get better deals if you call Ticketmaster instead of going online,â she explains. âIâll give her a call, Iâll see what she can do.âÂ
âOkay, call me back when you know more?âÂ
âWill do, Spence-roo,â she says before hanging up, making him smile.Â
â
He goes home to Y/Nâs apartment that night, they have a home-cooked meal together and they settle down on the couch to watch something on TV and just relax for the rest of the night.Â
Sheâs cuddled into Spencerâs side watching TikTok on her phone. She scrolled and scrolled and scrolled, barely watching anything for more than 30 seconds and then she stops on one. Spencer can hear the music and the cheering, itâs a tour video. He peeks over to it, watching as someone proposed to their girlfriend in the middle of Love Story.Â
She likes it, opens the comments and congratulated them. The next words out of his mouth are barely in his control. They just tumble out.Â
âDo you ever think about getting married?âÂ
She smiles up at him, âTo you? Absolutely.âÂ
He pulls her in for a kiss. She locks her phone and tosses it to the side so she can climb into his lap and kiss him some more. His hands migrate to her hips, and she runs her fingers through his ever-growing hair. Making out with her on the couch, she lightly grinds against him, he hums into the kiss, breaking it to kiss her jaw along to her ear.Â
âIâd want to marry you tooâŠâÂ
She cups his face, staring him down, âAsk me whenever youâre ready.âÂ
âItâs not too soon?âÂ
She shakes her head, âNo⊠I mean, people will probably think you knocked me up because of how fast weâve moved but, itâs been 3 months. We know everything about each other, we sleep beside each other every single night, and I never want to break up with you. The next logical move would be to get married.âÂ
He steals another kiss, âI think,â he kisses her again on her jaw again, making his way down her neck, âYouâre right.âÂ
She smiles, letting him go down to her boobs, âabout people thinking you got me knocked up?âÂ
He laughs against her, âI mean, we fuck so oftenâ
âNo, donât even joke,â she pulls his attention back to her. âYou canât get me pregnant just randomly, I donât have enough money to pay for my substitute. Youâd have to knock me up so I can have the baby in the summerâŠâÂ
He laughs, âYouâre not serious, right?âÂ
âIâm completely serious. I donât get maternity leave, I have to have summer babies if I want to keep my job.âÂ
âI have money,â he reminds her. âIf we get married it becomes our money, youâd never have to worry about anything ever again.âÂ
She settles slightly, her shoulders drop again and she stares at him so softly, âIâd still worry, you know me.âÂ
He kisses her again, reaching up to brush her hair back, âIâm going to take care of you for the rest of your life⊠and if we ever had kids, you know Iâd do the same for them.âÂ
âDo you want kids, like genuinely?â She asks. âCause I know you love Henry and you said that you thought about having them with Maeve butâ
âI want you to have my babies⊠whenever youâre ready,â he tosses the phrase back to her.Â
That does it, she dives back in for another kiss, heating it up tenfold, he cradles her head and back, leaning down against the couch so he can hover over her. Working the button on her jeans open, he starts to tug on them when his phone rings. He wants to just let it ring, but itâs Penelope's ringtone. He hasnât changed it, no matter how long he hasnât worked with her, itâs still the same thing.Â
âHold on,â he whispers, trying to pull away.Â
âLeave it,â she tugs him back in. She gets a few more kisses in and then he pulls back further.Â
âI canât, Iâm sorry, I have to take this,â he reaches out to grab his phone off the coffee table and walks out of the apartment to take the call.Â
âHello?âÂ
âHey, sorry, I know itâs late,â Penelope answers. âBut I have good news. We were able to pull some strings and I got you 2 floor tickets for the 4th.âÂ
âNo way?â Heâs gobsmacked.Â
âWay!! I gave her your information, the tickets are in your name and theyâre being mailed to you so youâll have physical tickets. You can just pay me back.âÂ
âWhat was the damage?âÂ
âthey were $1800 eachâŠâÂ
âThatâs a lot better than the resale price,â heâs so glad. âThank you, Penny, really, sheâs going to love this.âÂ
âHey, she was my friend first, Iâd do anything for her,â Penny teases. âNow go back to hanging out with her, Iâll talk to you later, okay?âÂ
âthank you, we love you,â he reminds her.Â
âI love you too!â And then sheâs gone.Â
He heads back inside and sheâs no longer on the couch. The tv is off, all the lights are out, and sheâs retreated back to the bedroom. He knocks before he enters, âHey⊠sorry about that.âÂ
âItâs fine,â she says, clearly a bit upset. âI get it, works more important that me sometimes.âÂ
âNo, no itâs not⊠and that wasnât work.âÂ
âIs that supposed to make me feel better? Cause it doesnât.âÂ
He timidly walks towards her, âHey, hey, Iâm sorry. I shouldnât have walked out on you like that. I know. But it was important⊠itâs for your birthday, thatâs all I can say.âÂ
She bites back a smile, looking him dead in the eyes. âReally?âÂ
He nods, âYou still have from the 3rd to the 6th off, right?âÂ
She nods, âI do⊠why?âÂ
âIâll tell you more when the day gets closer, just, donât plan anything, I want to make this special. This is our first birthday together, I want to celebrate you.âÂ
âOkay, youâre forgiven,â she gives in, she rushes over to him and tosses her arms around his neck. âBut next time it rings and youâre about to go down on me, it can wait.âÂ
âIt definitely can,â he agrees, picking her up, he tosses her onto the bed. âLet me make it up to you.âÂ
â
She watches the eraâs tour live streams on TikTok every weekend, she favourites outfits that sheâd want to wear and she tells Spencer all about the surprise songs that sheâd want to hear live one day.Â
What she doesnât know is that Spencer has memorized everything sheâs said and heâs been using it to his advantage. Heâs found her Pinterest board with eras tour dream outfits, and heâs made a playlist of her favourite songs so heâll be able to sing along no matter what surprise songs happen. And heâs started to buy tour outfits for himself too.Â
He puts a lot of work into her tour outfit, too. Itâs midnights themed, he got her a denim jacket with the back panel cut out and replaced with a starry lace pattern. He bought iron on paper and printed out her favourite lyrics to iron onto the arms and put stars on a pair of dark blue Converse. Heâs even been making friendship bracelets while on his lunch break at work. He just hasnât been able to decide on what to get her to wear under the jacket and with the shoes. Nothing seems to be perfect enough.Â
Heâs walking home from work one night when he passes a window display full of sparkly dresses. He just doesnât want to get her the wrong size. So he has the bright idea to take one of Y/N's dresses with him to the store to compare sizes. Trying to steal one of her dresses⊠thatâs going to be difficult.Â
âI have a question for you,â he asks that night at dinner. âBut you canât ask any follow-up questions or anything, okay?âÂ
âAlright..?âÂ
âCan I have one of your dresses to compare to a dress I want to buy you for your birthday?âÂ
She swoons, âYeah⊠or you could take my measurements?âÂ
âEither way, I just want to make sure it fits.âÂ
And so that night she gives him one of her favourite dresses. She tells him the size she prefers in different fabrics and he makes a mental note of every single thing she says.Â
-
The next day, he brings the dress to work with him, people want to ask questions but they donât. He makes it through the day, walks out of work with the dress and right into the store he saw yesterday.Â
The shop owner clocks him right away, noticing the dress, she thinks heâs making a return.Â
âHi, how can I help you?âÂ
âIâm surprising my girlfriend with Taylor Swift tickets for her birthday and Iâm trying to plan her outfit, too, and the dress in the window is perfect! I brought in one of her other dresses, just to compare sizing so I get it right,â he explains.Â
âOh my god, arenât you the dream boyfriend?â She teases. âCan I see that?âÂ
He places it on the counter for her, she takes a look at the tag and holds it up, âI think I have the window dress in this size⊠what era are you going for?âÂ
âI made her a jacket in the Midnights aesthetic and her shoes are evermore,â he shares. âThe dress in the window is kinda mirrorball-esque, I like it.âÂ
âYou know your shit,â she canât believe it. âDo you have an outfit picked out?âÂ
He shakes his head. âNo, I canât decide if I want to do fearless or loverâŠâ
âYou could do both, get a puffy Romeo shirt and some pink pants, that would be cute?âÂ
âYeah, yeah I like that idea⊠you know the Lover album cover, the heart she has around her eye? How would I do that?â He asks, he hasnât had someone to talk to about any of this, so heâs taking a chance and asking everything.Â
Sheâs really helpful, sheâs able to get him the dress in the right size, show him where he can get adhesive sparkles for the face, helps him plan his own outfit and even get some accessories too. He spends a fair bit of money in her store and he thanks her.Â
âIâm going to bring her back here after the tour, maybe she can get her engagement party dress here,â he suggests.Â
âWait, are you going to ask her to marry you at the show?âÂ
He nods, âDuring love story.âÂ
âSheâs one lucky girl,â the shop owner swoons again. Sheâs overjoyed for them. âIf you bring her back here for that Iâll give you a discount, thatâs the sweetest thing in the world. I really hope she says yes.âÂ
âMe too.âÂ
â
He stole a piece of her costume jewelry when she wasnât looking, a ring she typically wears on her right ring finger and brings it with him to all the jewelry shops he goes to. Finding a ring that feels like Y/N is hard. He wants it to be perfect, he wants it to be big and pretty and something sheâll show off to everyone. He wants it to be a ring that will stay in style for the next 50 years, he wants it to last.Â
Heâs looked at a million styles, every colour and cut imaginable⊠but nothing seems right. He knows the kind of rings she likes from her Pinterest, but even they donât seem to fit what he imagines for them. This ring is supposed to symbolize their love and their relationship. It has to be perfect.Â
He finds the ring on Etsy of all places. It was his last chance to get a ring. There were only 2 weeks until her birthday and he had to make sure the ring was in his possession before they took their trip to LA.Â
The ring comes in two parts, one ring for the engagement and the other for the wedding. The wedding band perfectly encompasses the engagement ring, making the main ring look like it has little leaves coming out from around it.Â
He gets them in white gold, the main stone is a man-made, oval-shaped diamond and the stones around it are man-made opal, 4 on each side to be exact, shaped like little diamonds. The wedding band also has man-made stones, in green. Together, they look perfect. He has them expedited, he pays the artist top dollar to make sure theyâre at his house by August 1st and he prays they make it.Â
â
She picks him up after work on July 31st and when they arrive at his house, thereâs a package sitting on his front step. Part of him is furious that they just left it, they didnât leave a drop-off notice and take it back to the UPS store for safekeeping, the rest of him is relieved that it made it. Y/N on the other hand, is nosey. She wants to know what he ordered. Sheâs curious as to why he didnât want to open it in front of her, but she doesnât bring it up again once he hides it in his room.Â
Theyâre in the middle of cooking dinner when she wraps her arms around him, stands on her tip-toes and rests her head on his shoulder to watch him stir around the pan. âCan I ask a question about my birthday?â She pries slightly.Â
âDepends on the question.âÂ
âDo I have to pack a bag or anything?â She asks the first question.Â
âYeah⊠I got us an Airbnb for the few days weâre taking off work,â he explains, not giving away too much.
âOkay, and what should I pack?âÂ
âUnderwear, pyjamas, comfy clothes,â he lists off a few things. âMakeup and whatever you want to do with your hair⊠Iâm going to tell you whatâs happening the day of, youâll have a few hours to plan for each event.âÂ
âEach event?â She picks that out.Â
He just nods, âYouâll find out more later.âÂ
âFine,â she sighs, resting her chest against his back now, she holds him tighter. âIâm going to go all out for your birthday too, you know.âÂ
âI know⊠weâre kind of obsessed with each other,â he teases.Â
âI think itâs called love,â she reminds him.Â
âYouâre right⊠I do love you a lot,â he says as he spins around in her grip and hugs her close, kissing her neck gently. âI love you so much.âÂ
She hums happily, âI love you too, sneaky man. Itâs killing me that I donât know whatâs happening but I trust you.âÂ
âGood,â he pulls back and cups her cheek. âHow would you feel leaving late on the 2nd instead of early on the 3rd?âÂ
âWe can do that, I know you prefer driving at night,â she knows him well. âWe can pack after work and leave once weâre done.âÂ
âI will be packed the day before,â he teases. âIâm not a last-minute man.âÂ
âOh, I know, you donât do anything lightly, but I might need help packing,â she reminds him. âYou can help me pick out accessories and shoes to match whatever you got me.âÂ
âYou think I didn't get you shoes and accessories? Have you seen me?â He teases, thatâs one thing she loves about him. Heâs always matching.
She just laughs, âOf course you did.âÂ
â
Spencer walks from his apartment to hers with 2 suitcases, one for his own things and one just for their eras tour outfits. He has her second key fob, so he unlocks her car when he arrives and puts his things in the backseat and heads up to her apartment. He knocks once but ultimately lets himself in. âBabe?âÂ
âBedroom!â She calls back, letting him know where she is.Â
âHeyâŠâÂ
âSo Iâve played out a bunch of outfits, what ones will be good for what you have planned?âÂ
âAnything is good, I have your outfit for the main event planned, the rests are dinners, brunches and us driving to and from California.âÂ
âWeâre going to California?â She canât believe it⊠but then she clues in. âOh my god, Spencer, why are we going to California?â
He shrugs, âI donât know, you tell me?âÂ
âIâm going to lose my mind if weâre doing what I think weâre doing,â she explains, rushing to his side, she places her hands on his shoulders, âIâm going to go nuts.âÂ
âI have no idea what youâre referring toâŠâÂ
She canât believe him, she just hugs him and holds him there, âOh, youâre so cute when you try to lie to me, I love you so much.âÂ
âI love you,â he hugs her back, kissing the top of her head. âNow, hurry up and pack, we can check into the Airbnb after 10pm tonight, if we leave now we could be there by midnight?âÂ
And so they pack her up, they check the apartment to make sure everything is off and all the widows are closed and they head out. She locks the door, he brings her suitcase down to the car and she lets him drive. Heâs a lot more comfortable on the road at night, he takes them out of Reno, down Highway 695 towards Carson City. They see Bridgeport, Willow Springs, Mammoth and Crowley Lake, Big Pine, Independence, Long Pine and then they stop for gas and a snack. He drives from Long Pine to Ridgecrest and then they pass through Mojave around 11:30.Â
Theyâre in the home stretch now. She knows exactly whatâs happening when they go through Santa Clara. She can see on their GPS that by taking the 405 south theyâll end up in Inglewood in just a few minutes.Â
He got them a cute little Airbnb just a stone's throw from the stadium, theyâd be able to walk to and from if they wanted to. Once he parks outside of it, she turns to him with tears in her eyes. âHow did you manage to do this?âÂ
âPenelope,â he says with a smile. âShe knows someone at Ticketmaster, they got me really good tickets for the 4th. I bought you an outfit, I made myself one, too⊠I know how badly you wanted to see her so I made it happen.âÂ
âYou really are the man of my dreams,â she swoons. âThank you.âÂ
âIâd do anything for you,â he reminds her. Meaning every word.Â
âI know⊠now letâs get all our shit inside so I can give you a proper thank you.âÂ
â
They spend their first day there just looking around. They have brunch at a cute little spot sheâs always wanted to try, they visit the National History Museum and Exposition Park. Itâs a lovely day where they just get to hold hands and be together. They order dinner to their Airbnb and eat while watching TV and then they spend another night in bed together. Itâs perfect.Â
When they wake up on the 4th, Spencer smothers her in kisses and wishes her a happy birthday⊠they donât leave the bed for a while after that.Â
He orders her breakfast and while theyâre waiting for it, he shows her the outfit he has picked out for her. The dress, her jacket, the shoes, a cute little clear purse for the stadium and a lot of sparkly makeup options for whatever she wants to do.Â
âSpencer, this is perfect?â Sheâs amazed by it all. âHow did you know?âÂ
âI found your Pinterest,â he shrugs. âand you always show me cute outfits on TikTok, I took a lot of inspiration from what I knew youâd like and your favourite songs to make this⊠and these,â he pulls out a ziplock bag full of bracelets. All handmade. All perfect.
She spreads all the bracelets out on their bed, and she reads each and every single one. He has sent titles, lyrics and abbreviations, even quotes from Taylor that heâs memorized from how many times sheâs watched Miss Americana on her days off. âSpence, how am I going to part with these?âÂ
He shrugs, âDonât trade your favourites? Maybe leave any special ones here?âÂ
âYeah, I guess I could do that⊠I canât believe you went through all the trouble of making these just for me, seriously, when did you have the time?âÂ
âOn my lunch breaks,â he laughs to himself. âI had no idea what I was doing and then Keesha, our undercover girl, showed me how to make them better.âÂ
âEverything is perfect, Spence,â she stands and wraps her arms around him, holding him close. âThis is going to be the best night of my life.âÂ
She really had no idea.Â
âI was thinking we could maybe go get our nails done,â he says as she pulls away. âWe donât have to be at the stadium till 6, I think it would be nice to get some eras nails done? I might even get some colour?âÂ
âYeah, that sounds amazing!â She agrees, not thinking anything of it.Â
He really just wants her to think her nails are pretty when he slips the ring onto her finger later tonight.Â
He already made the appointment with a local nail salon for 1pm, giving them enough time to head back to their Airbnb and get ready for the show and maybe even get something to eat before they go. Heâs such a planner. She loved every second of it, it made her less stressed to know that he already knew everything that was going on and he was confident about it too.Â
He gets his nails done as well. Heâs always wanted to but never had the chance to. He gets just basic gel while she goes all out with a shorter acrylic shape, she gets sparkles and stars all in the 10 different album colours and she loves them. She keeps staring at them the whole walk home, she loves how they sparkle in the light and how pretty the shape makes her hand look.Â
The ring is going to look even better on her hand now.Â
They shower together back at their place, Spencer watches in awe as she does her hair and her makeup and itâs not until the end that he hands her the adhesive sparkles and asks her to help him put the lover heart around his eye.Â
âWhat did you plan for your outfit?â She asks while carefully sticking each sparkle to his face.Â
âI got some bright pink pants, like, highlighter pink, bright,â he smirks. âI also bought a puffy shirt like Romeo⊠I wanted to go for Lover Story.âÂ
She laughs, âOh youâre going to look good.âÂ
âI also bought cowboy bootsâŠâÂ
âYou didnât,â she canât believe it. âWhat colour?âÂ
âPink.âÂ
âOh my god, Spence⊠really?âÂ
âwell like you said Lover and Midnights go together like they were planned to be back to back and youâre my other half so I wanted us to match⊠and then Iâm partly fearless which came after Evermore which is on your shoes, so, it all matches.âÂ
âI love you,â she cups his face gently, âlike itâs insane how much I love you.âÂ
âItâs not insane. Itâs the perfect amount,â he teases, pulling her in for a kiss.Â
â
She doesnât know they have front-row seats until theyâre at the stadium getting their tickets checked. The best part of her reaction at the gate is that she thinks this is the last surprise⊠sheâs so overjoyed with the thought of being that close to Taylor Swift that she canât even fathom him proposing tonight.Â
From all the Tiktok's that sheâs watched since March, she knows that the best time to go to the merch stands isnât before the concert. Itâs during. So, on their way to their seats, they simply buy some overpriced drinks and trade a couple friendship bracelets before heading towards their seats. She looks around with her mouth agape, amazed at how big the place is and how much of the stage takes up the floor.Â
At their seats, she shakes her head and lets out an exasperated laugh, âI canât believe you got these?âÂ
âOnly the best for my girl,â he teases, wrapping his arm around her, he brings her in and kisses the top of her head. âI love you, Happy birthday.âÂ
âI love you,â she smiles up at him. âThank you for this, really. Iâm going to thank you a million times.âÂ
âYou donât have to,â he waves it off. âI wanted to come too, you know, sheâs a big reason weâre together in the first place.âÂ
âIf only we could tell her thank you,â she laughs.Â
âWe shouldâve made a sign,â he teases.Â
âWe shouldâveâŠâ she agrees. âMaybe I can just put big text on my phone and hold it up to her?âÂ
âThat could work.âÂ
So thatâs what she does, sitting in her seat, waiting for the opener, she drafts a few things to say while the stadium starts to fill up.Â
It takes a while before someone behind them actually shows up. Spencer worried there for a moment that the seats behind him didnât sell and thus part of his plan for tonight would be ruined⊠but then a couple girls, in their teens, show up just before HIAM comes out to play.Â
Spencer takes something from his pocket, pretends to reach between their seats to the floor and turns back to one of the girls. âUm, I think you dropped this,â Spencer says to the girls behind them, he hands them a note and a $5 bill. Y/N watches him hand it back to them and then turns right back to watching the openers play.Â
âOh thanks,â the girl says with a smile. She opens the note and her eyes widen as she reads it.Â
âCan you please record me and my future fiancĂ© during love story? I have an important question to ask her and I want to remember it forever.â And his number at the bottom.Â
She looks at Spencer with her eyes full of tears and nods, mouthing âI can do that.âÂ
He gives her a thumbs up and turns back to watching the show. HAIM are a band heâs heard Y/N play before, heâs surprised how many words he knows just from being around her. Theyâre amazing and he knows that because theyâre on the tour now, that means their song with Taylor has been added to the setlist. He really likes that one, even if it is about premeditated murder.Â
He knows the setlist like the back of his hand. It starts with Lover, the intro is a remix of all her eras names over top of the song Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince, the dancers wear these big sheets of fabric, peacocking around the stage and then they cover the middle of the main diamond stage. Once they lift the sheets back up, however, Taylor emerges onto the stage and the crowd goes wild.Â
Heâs seen the show on Tiktok live so many times that heâs okay with missing it in person, instead, he watches her. He watches the way she stares at Taylor like she hung the stars and the moon herself. Like sheâs some sort of god and everyone here is blessed to be in her presence. She cries, shaking her head in disbelief, she chants the words back to her and doesnât even realize Spencer has been staring at her the whole time.Â
âLook how close she is,â Y/N bumps his shoulder and points. âSheâs literally right there.âÂ
âI know,â he smiles, so in love with her he couldnât even pay attention to Taylor.Â
When Cruel Summer starts, she screams so loud, Spencerâs sure sheâs going to lose her voice tomorrow. He finally starts paying attention to the show now. Singing along, he knows all the words. He actually really loves this song. And the man. He loves everything from Lover simply because heâs so deeply, deeply in love.Â
Post-lover, Taylor heads in for a costume change and thats when Spencer starts to feel anxious. Heâs 2 songs away from his big moment. He checks his pockets, he still has the ring, in its box staying safe, itâs right there and ready to go. He almost blacks out for most of Fearless, he snaps back into it for You Belong With Me and the first note to Love Story gets his heart beat racing a million miles a minute.Â
He looks back at the girl behind him who has her phone out already she smiles at him, nodding like sheâs ready to go and he takes a deep breath. Taylors walking down the catwalk, sheâs going to be literally right in front of them when he gets down on one knee⊠he doesnât think sheâs seen a proposal this close and in person yet on this tour? Maybe sheâll notice them?Â
He sings along, genuinely loving the song and it steadies him a little. Y/N is singing too, jumping up and down and pointing at Taylor during all the best parts. Sheâs having the time of her life⊠she has no idea whatâs coming.
The second chorus comes and he reaches into his pocket, heâs holding the box in his hand and his heart is in his throat.Â
âAnd I got tired of waiting⊠wondering if you were ever coming around, my faith in you was fading! When I met you on the outskirts of town!â Y/N sings along. âAnd I said Romeo save me Iâve been feeling so alone I keep waiting for you but you never come is this in my head I donât know what to think, he kneels to the ground and pulled out a ring andâ
She notices then that heâs dropped to one knee, following the song, he holds open the little black box and she screams. Everyone in their section is screaming. âMarry me, Juliet, youâll never have to be alone I love you and thatâs all I really know!â Spencer sings along to the song.
Sheâs frozen, canât believe this is happening and real but she looks at the ring and then at him, her eyes full of tears. âYes!!! Yes, Iâll marry you!!â She gets down to the ground with him and pulls him into a kiss, he smiles into it, happier than heâs ever been in his whole life.Â
When she pulls back he takes the ring from the box and slides it onto her ring finger. He helps her back to her feet and all she can do is stare at it. âHoly shit?âÂ
âI love you!â He shouts, loud enough for everyone to hear. âI want to love you forever.âÂ
She pulls him into another hug, not even noticing that Taylor did see it. She pointed at them, she got excited and there was footage of it from a million different angles that sheâll get to see later. She finishes the song, running back to make her mark and then she disappears once again to get ready for Evermore.Â
Y/N snuggles into his side, her left hand resting on his chest, she keeps pulling her hand back to look at it. Thereâs just enough quiet between eras that she asks, âWhere did you get it? Itâs beautiful.âÂ
âEtsy,â he says with a smile. âIt was on my doorstep the other day when you came over.âÂ
âNo way?â She laughs, âhow long have you been planning this?âÂ
âSince I asked you how you felt about getting married one day,â he admits.Â
She stands on her tiptoes and leans in for another kiss, âI Love you.âÂ
âI love you,â he reminds her. âForever and always⊠but I actually mean that.âÂ
She laughs, âgod, you really are the number 1 fearless stan, arenât you?âÂ
Heâs about to reply when the girls behind him poke him in the back, âHey!â They both turn around. âI texted you the video and my friend got the other angle of Taylor's reaction!âÂ
âShe saw it?!â Y/N freaks out.Â
They nod, freaking out with her, âYeah!! She pointed at you guys and she was so happy!!âÂ
âHoly shit!â Y/N shouts for the second time. âThis is the best day of my fucking life, how does it keep getting better?âÂ
âI donât know man, but congrats!â The girl says. âYou guys are so cute together.âÂ
âThank you,â they say at the same time.Â
She looks at him this time like he hung the stars. If you told him just 4 months ago that heâd find the love of his life and get engaged to her at a Taylor Swift concert of all places, he wouldâve laughed⊠now he canât imagine his life going any other way.Â
This is where he was always supposed to be.Â

" Oh.."Â
You, Yuuji and Megumi's eyes are wide as Nobara spills her cup of coffee on Gojo sensei's blouse. You don't doubt that it was most probably unnecessarily expensive.
" Shoot."Â
" You've done it now, Kugisaki. This is Gojo sensei's, right? "Â
Yuuji's words are not very helpful as he holds the blouse, a sweatdrop on the side of his head as he inspects the stain.
Nobara stares down at it, seemingly thinking about what to do.
A moment later, she's drawing on the white board, some kind of explanation going on.
" On one hand, we have Ijichi, who entrusted us with this freshly dry cleaned blouse-"Â
You blink at her words, leaning your head down on your palm.
Where exactly was she going with this?
"- And then there's me who spilled coffee on it. Who's really at fault?"
" You."
All three of you speak at the same time, causing Nobara to pout.
" Really Y/N? I thought at least you'd have my back in this."Â
You give her an embarrassed smile. Usually, in any other situation, you would. But this really was her fault. You couldn't possibly defend her from this.
" Let her be. Don't pressure her because of your mistake."Â
You, Yuuji and Nobara blink at Megumi in surprise.
Yes, you were aware that this universe Megumi seemed to be fond of you, but now he was even standing up for you! ( He doesn't even do that for Yuuji.)Â
He glances at all three of you in an annoyed manner.
" What?"Â
All three of you simply blink in response, not elaborating.
Moments later, all four of you are working to get the stain out of Gojo sensei's blouse.
" You gotta dab it like this. Dab. Dab."Â
" That's what I'm doing!"Â
It's not working. Roughly 20 minutes later, you're all staring at the blouse, which is positively ruined.
" Does anyone have Dasty? We might be able to get it out with that if we soak it for a bit and then throw it in the laundry again."Â
Yuuji blinks at your words.
" Really?"Â
You shrug,
" It works for most stains. I'm not a coffee drinker though so I've never had to fix a coffee stain before."
Nobara appears to not be listening, her eyes fixated on the shirt before she suddenly speaks.
" You think it could pass for a Marimekko design?"
" That would be an insult to fashion."Â
Nobara huffs, before turning to Megumi with a smirk.
" C'mon, I'm sure it's cheap anyway. Fushiguro, look up the brand."Â
You cringe.
" I wouldn't be so sure about that, Nobara."Â
It's kind of what you expected, but somehow even more expensive.
Megumi doesn't look surprised as he shows the price tag, seemingly unbothered by it. Nobara and Yuuji both wear grave expressions, while you bite your lip.
„ 250,000 That's a lot of money for a blouse.
Ouch.
" A-after tax?"Â
" Before. Does it even matter?"Â
Nobara sighs, before hardening her expression.
" Fine. I'll put in „ 90,000. You guys can put in a little more than „ 53,000 each."Â
" Hue?!"Â
You agree with Yuuji.
However, right at that moment, you hear the doors of the classroom open.
Your eyes widen, before you take the blouse and shove it in Megumi's face.
" Quick, hide it in your zip up!"Â
" What?! Why can't you hide it in yours?!-"Â
" You're taller! Gojo sensei's here already!"Â
To your utter surprise, he actually does it.
You didn't expect him to listen.
" Morning! Ijichi said you guys had my shirt?-"Â
Gojo sensei's smile slips off his face, his blindfolded gaze on Megumi.
You pretend to look innocent, while Nobara and Yuuji are working hard to hold their laughter.Â
" What's the matter, Megumi?"Â
He's shoved the blouse in his zip up so quickly, that it's caused a huge bump to form.
" It's nothing."Â
He looks mildly annoyed as he speaks, but he's still not pulling out the blouse just yet.
Both Yuuji and Nobara break out in laughter, and Yuuji can't explain in any other way but to pull out the blouse from Megumi's collar. Their dynamic causes you to grin. Even if Megumi is irritated by what's happening.
-
And now, Nobara is dead.
Tears are streaming down your face as you find yourself rooted to the ground, unable to move.
" Kugisaki..."Â
Yuuji is on the verge of panicking, of giving up, of calling it quits. And Sukuna knows.Â
However, he finds himself unable to move. The marked boy is stood rooted to the ground, one arm still tight around your waist. You're not calling out to him, but he knows that he's the only thing keeping you grounded right now. The only thing keeping you from collapsing completely.
He wants to help Yuuji. He knows he has to, but he fears he's powerless. The Sukuna of this universe is merciless, a true evil. In Yuuji's eyes, Itadori Sukuna is nothing but a bad reminder of the monster who lives inside him. He doesn't recognize him as the asshole brother he is.
Death rarely shakes Sukuna. It was something that has always been that way. Sukuna always seemed to have some kind of error. He didn't have the emotions other people had. He truely cared about very few people, yet didn't mind going out of his way to help another. Yuuji and you are one of the very few people whose death he would actively mourn if it were to happen.
Nobara, one of your best friend's, is dead. But this wouldn't hit Sukuna until he had proper time to sit down. And even when he did, it was a true question whether he'd mourn her.
Sukuna swallows, before softly shaking you. He's toughing up for the two of you. he doesn't know this cursed spirit, doesn't know what's going on in this universe, but if he doesn't step up, Yuuji will get his ass beat and you'll be stuck in your head in a cycle.Â
There's no time for that.
Sukuna's eyes widen as the curse, Mahito, closes in, it's focus on Yuuji and Yuuji alone.
" Y/N."Â
He continues shaking you, trying to catch your attention. You blink through your tears, trying to regain your attention.
Yuuji gets hit with black flash by the curse. Sukuna shakes you more feverishly, trying to wake you from your numbness.
You finally snap back to Sukuna when Yuuji gets thrown into a wall.
" I need Light Fury."Â
Your eyes are wide, taking in the scene, taking in what's happening.
" He needs you.."Â
You're back, fully aware again, finally out of your shocked state.
Sukuna shakes his head, his hold on you loosening, before his arm fully slips off you.
He sighs as he faces you, wiping your tears with his thumb.
Sukuna's neutral expression was intimidating, but you have always been able to see through the way he carries himself, has always seen him as him.
And Sukuna knows he could never bring himself to be mean to you when you're crying like this.
Leaning down, he presses a short kiss to your forehead.
" I know. We can't allow their deaths to be in vain. Get me Light Fury, sweetheart. Focus on healing nobara as far as you can. I refuse to believe she dies easy."
You nod, glancing up at him. You're so glad he's here. So glad he's come to save you. So glad you're not alone in this mean universe.
You reach out beside you, focusing on your reverse cursed energy. Some kind of portal opens up behind you, the hilt of a white katana visible. Just like Megumi's shadow follows him everywhere, water is in the very air surrounding you as well. Light Fury is a weapon capable of killing special grade curses. It's loaded on reverse cursed energy. It was originally a regular weapon before Yuta brought it to you with the idea.
Sukuna rips it out of the small portal, allowing it's energy to attract Mahito's attention.
The two of you split up. You take a deep breath before focusing, drawing your ring of water with every last drop you can physically find around you as you drop to your knees besides Nobara's body.
Sukuna was right. Your best friend is tough, You couldn't accept her death just like this. She was too stubborn for that.Â
You focus, really focus, finally. Your eyes close as you focus on her vitals, on keeping her alive, or forcefully keeping her body going.
Meanwhile, Sukuna joins the fight.
Mahito seems impressed, avoiding Sukuna's newfound blade with an interested expression in it's eyes.
" Oooeh, you wanna join in on the fun? Found a new toy?"Â
Sukuna doesn't react, his eyes sharp on Mahito as he calls out to Yuuji.
" Yuuji. Get up. Stop crying. We need you. We don't have time for that."Â
Sukuna could never be soft with Yuuji. Not during training, and not while they might be fighting to their deaths either.
Yuuji shakes his head. He's completely given up. Completely gone. Sukuna would be one of the last people who can save him.
" You should leave. You and Y/N both. I already almost accidentally killed her. This isn't your universe. Go home."Â
Sukuna rolls his eyes in annoyance, a vein popping in his head. Did he really have to act all depressed now? ( Yes, Sukuna, was nowhere near soft on Yuuji. Ever.)
he doesn't need to fight Mahito long. Within seconds, he's suddenly moved to a completely different spot, his place taken by what appears to be a loose rock.
He only knows one asshole with that technique. Todo.
Meanwhile your nose has started bleeding. You're really demanding a lot from your body today, demanding a lot from both your curse energy and reversed curse energy. At this point, you're fighting to stay awake.Â
You're exhausted. You don't even know if Nobara is dead or alive anymore. You're fully focusing on healing her, even if it proves to be aimless. You've reached a point where your head hurts, your energy is reaching it's limits, and you can't feel her vitals.
" I- Are you okay?"Â
Nitta Arata is both amazed and terrified. You're surrounded by reverse cursed energy, as is Nobara's body.
His call to you makes you blink. Your vision is already hazy.
" Huh? Who are you?"Â
" My name is Nitta Arata. I'm here to help. My technique can stop injuries from getting worse.-"Â
Nitta stops talking as you collapse. The ring of water is completely gone, dissipated in Nobara's skin and the air surrounding you. Nitta watches it happen with wide eyes before rushing over. He treats you first, before deciding to apply his technique to Nobara as well. He doubts she's alive, but you had been too focused to not do that. Nitta glances at you one last time before leaving.
That was without doubt the most powerful reverse cursed technique he's seen in his entire life.
Moments later, he arrives at Todo's side.
" I've finished treating the girls over there. One's probably dead though."Â
Sukuna's eyes widen as Light Fury dissipates.
Had you collapsed? Â
Todo opens his mouth as he takes a good look at Sukuna, and behind him Nitta tenses up as well.
" I'm from Y/N's universe. I'm not going to bother explaining. We have shit to do, get to work."Â
Sukuna's eyes are sharp as he passes by Todo, their heights matching.Â
Todo can feel this Sukuna is not a threat. He has no cursed energy after all. He respects him as he passes by. Sukuna's brown eyes flit over Nitta hotly for a second, but he doesn't say anything. Moments later, he finds you, seemingly sound asleep near Nobara's side.
He huffs, leaning down and picking you up with ease. He notes the blood that seemed to have run down from your nose. You must have gone beyond your limit.
" Always getting into fucking trouble. Now I have to go find a stupid nasty Shibuya river again."Â
He grumbles, complaining to himself as he carries you out of the metro station, taking one last look at Nobara before sighing.
He doesn't want to leave her body behind, but he has no choice.
He glances down at your sleeping form in his arms, before shaking his head, and finding his way outside.
" So much trouble for such a little shit."Â
Yuuji is better off in Todo's hands.
[ A/N: Slow updates from now on bc I've got internship, school & work from now on.]

Flirting
Pure fluff. Rio is possessive, Agatha is annoying, they're both still in the period where they're uncomplicatedly in love.
âThank you,â Agatha said, flashing a warm, cocky smile at the girl selling roadside produce, one that caused the other womanâs cheeks to heat and her eyes to avert, then glance back, half-lidded. Agatha finished gathering her collection of vegetables into her bag, smug with the certainty she could have charmed the girl into her bed with barely any effort if sheâd so desired, and turned to go.
A hand closed tight around her wrist and she glanced at Rio, who had been examining the blacksmithâs collection of knives only a moment ago. âYes?â Agatha asked, turning to head back toward the small cottage they were staying in.
âDonât do that.â
Agatha blinked, taken aback. âPurchase vegetables?â
Rio looked at her with an uncharacteristic lack of amusement, head tilted too far to one side. âAgs.â
âWhat?â Agatha asked, genuinely uncertainâand then she burst into laughter. âOh, no, Rio. Did I make you jealous?â
âAgatha.â It was rare for her to genuinely anger Rio, who tended to react to most of Agathaâs foibles with an aggravating mix of affection and condescension. From the other womanâs tone and the way she narrowed her eyes, this was one of the times Agatha had actually managed to genuinely irk her and so the right thing to do would be to back down and apologize.
That didnât really sound like Agatha, though.
âI had no idea you were so insecure,â she said instead. âI mean, I understand, I am a catch.â
âYou are,â Rio agreed, a smile playing across her lips, but it was a deadly smile, holding the promise of plague, war and myriad natural disasters, events resulting in untold casualties.
That smile presented a problem, but Agatha already knew the solution.
She was slightly relieved as they reached the cottage, though. Even she could be made to tremble when Death looked at her like that.
As soon as they were inside, she dropped her bag of produce and pulled Rio into a forceful, demanding kiss, a kiss that told the receiver in no uncertain terms who they belonged to. Then she pressed the other woman back against the wall of their cottage and kept her pinned there for a few minutes, working magic with lips and tongue that had Rio gasping and shaking by the time she was done.
Agatha leaned back, impressed by herself. âYou cannot think that I would ever want anyone but you,â she purred, playing with Rio's hair.
Rio stared for too long, unblinking. Then she smiled, and while it was less threatening than her previous expression, it was still a smile like a wildfire or a volcanic explosion, an unstoppable natural force primed to destroy everything in its wake.
ââŠWhat?â Agatha said, pinned to the spot, seeing the oncoming disaster, but powerless to stop it.
âAgatha, beloved, come to bed.â
Agatha flushed down to her neck, swallowed with a suddenly dry mouth, suddenly aware that she might have tipped the balance too far the other way. Rio, overly excited, reached peaks of intensity even Agatha couldn't match. âI had plansââ
Rioâs fingers scraped her cheek, her expression adoring and possessive, looking at Agatha as though there was no one else in the universe. âMine,â she murmured, almost to herself. Her hand wrapped around Agatha's wrist, tighter this time, fingers pressed in to feel Agatha's pulse pounding in her wrist. "Let me demonstrate."
Agatha managed a nod and allowed Death to take her to bed.
Much, much later, when Agatha was sprawled on her stomach, feeling herself akin to some kind of sea cucumber, boneless and barely capable of movement, while Rio preened her like a dragon admiring its hoard, she couldn't resist the urge to murmur, "Perhaps I should flirt more."
She felt Rio go still against her, then groan aloud, a sustained sound of frustration. "AgathaâŠ"
"Who would have thought you would be so jealous? It's cute," she mumbled. Even moving her lips seemed to take an undue amount of effort.
A warm weight settled on top of her. "Do not. I don't like it. You're mine," Rio whined.
"I don't remember agreeing to that," Agatha, a woman unable to pass a pot without stirring it, said.
"âŠAgatha." Now there was real danger in Rio's voice again, something possessive but simultaneously uncertain that fascinated Agatha. She'd never quite gotten over how much Rio seemed to want her, and also somehow believed there was a chance Agatha would ever be the one to walk away. It was a kind of power, being wanted so badly by a vital component of the natural order and also a gorgeous, exciting woman who could have had anyone she wanted.
And Agatha did love power.
"Hmm?" she murmured, pretending innocence.
The end of all things took a slow breath, drawn through her teeth, then exhaled with enough force that the air brushed over Agatha's skin. "Sometimes you are very frustrating."
"Sometimes you like that," Agatha pointed out.
"This is not one of those times."
"Uh-oh. Am I in trouble?"
"Yes," Rio muttered, but her tone was more sulky than anything else. "A lot of trouble."
"I am quivering in terror."
"Why do Iâ"
Agatha froze, her brain filling in the rest of that sentence unbidden.
Put up with you.
Deal with this.
And if she were being entirely honest with herself, sometimes she didn't know the answer. Not that she didn't know she was amazing in every aspect, beautiful and extremely magically competent and very funny, but even she could acknowledge that she was a sometimes a difficult person to get along with, prone to wanting everything her way, with a strong dislike of the cloying romance Rio seemed to enjoy and a tendency to blow off other people's feelings with sarcasm, including those of her lover. Sometimes she heard her own mouth say things and braced for impact, expecting Rio to decide she'd had enough of Agatha's particular brand of difficult.
Now she rolled over, forcing Rio to ooze off herâgratifying, to be able to tire out Deathâand tugged the other woman into her arms instead, squeezing hard.
"âŠAgs," Rio murmured, her voice softer, more amused.
"Ssh."
"I'm not going anywhere."
Agatha felt her cheeks heat, mostly at being so transparent. "âŠWell, neither am I," she said.
"Say you're mine."
"RioâŠ"
"Say it."
"Technically everyone is yours eventually."
That prompted a slightly too amused giggle, laced with some emotion Agatha couldn't read. "I want to hear it now, though."
"Claiming people is a littleâ"
"I'll say it. I belong to you, Agatha Harkness, heart and soul. All that I am, all that I ever will beâ"
Agatha squirmed against her lover, a whine escaping her, cheeks red with embarrassment. "Fine, fine, I'm yours, all right? Whatever that means."
"Good." Then, "No flirting."
Agatha snorted, leaned forward and brushed her lips over Rio's. "No promises there, my heart. It is something, to be able to make Death jealous."
Rio cupped her cheek and in her eyes were unfathomable mysteries, secrets of the universe that evoked all sorts of hunger in Agatha. "But consider that it is ill-advised is to make your adoring lover jealous."
"What will happen, I wonder?" Agatha said, a smile taunting crawling across her lips.
Vines erupted from the floor, hooked around Agatha's ankles before she could react, dragging her up into the air, dangling in an undignified manner above their bed while Rio tossed her head back and shrieked with laughter.
"âŠVery funny," Agatha said, twisting around to try and find the best angle to blast the vines without hitting herself or caving the ceiling in. "Ugh, Rio, the floor."
Rio patted her cheek, sending her swinging in a slightly dizzying fashion. "Allll mine," she said. "Love you, baby."
Agatha sighed. "I love you," she said. "Put me down, please."
"Eventually."
Agatha gave her a long look. "Hey, RioâŠ"
"Hmmmm?" Rio said, sprawled out, looking up at her. "Great view."
Agatha gritted her teeth, closed her eyes and recited the words from memory, stirring her fingers through the air, three times counterclockwise, then one half turn.
The vine rotted and fell apart. She hit the bed, crashing half atop Death incarnate, who was laughing again, shrill and delighted. "That was impressive, Ags! We'll make a green witch of you yet."
"Of course it was," Agatha said, slightly smug at having pulled it off from memory, with a magic that wasn't her natural preference.
"OnlyâŠ"
"Only what?"
"You may have overdone it," Rio said, levering herself up and pacing over to the entrance of their cottage.
After a moment and with the groan of a woman whose only wish for today was to return to bed, this time for sleep, Agatha followed.
Rio was staring down at her bag of produce, which seemed to be leaking and producing a decidedly unpleasant odor. "âŠOh," Agatha murmured.
Rio opened it and pulled out a half-rotten onion, took a bite. "Not bad," she approved, while Agatha tried not to gag.
"âŠSo we'll need more vegetable for dinner,â Agatha said after a moment, and she couldn't stop the mischief leaking into her tone. "I couldâ"
Rio's attention snapped to her. "I'll do it."
"Oh. Are you sure?"
Rio nodded. "Well, if you insist," Agatha said, pretending to concede, secretly delighted not to have to put on clothes and go anywhere, still fatigued from Rio's earlier attentions. She pointed at the bag of rotten vegetables. "Take that with you, please."
Rio picked up the bag, and before Agatha could protest, upended it onto the floor, thenâdid something. Agatha could tell magic was happening, could sense it in the way she might have felt the wind on her skin, but as always, Rio's magic had no words, no gestures. It simply acted on the world.
The rotted vegetables melted through the floor and presumably into the ground below.
"How," Agatha said, frustration leaking into her tone.
"The earth takes back what it created."
"That'sâyou can't," Agatha stuttered.
Rio giggled. "But I did," she said, and without even a gesture, she was fully clothed again, a simple green gown that did not make her blend in with regular people at all. Agatha could not imagine her blending in. "I'll be back."
"Take your time," Agatha said, but only once her lover was out the door. She clambered back onto the bed, brushing aside a few pieces of withered vine and collapsed, tugging the sheets over her body and letting her eyes close.
I belong to you, Agatha Harkness, heart and soul. All that I am, all that I ever will be...
Bullshit, she thought. No way.
Still, she fell asleep smiling.

So yâall fw EVEN MORE Mr. Puzzles hcs?
Cause I got some :}
tbh I feel like Puzzles getâs too babied in the fandom. A lot of people forget that heâs kind of an asshole, and takes a long time to warm up to people. However, once he realizes how he feels and is willing to reach out more, things get a lot better.
Itâd probably be really awkward more than anything else. He wouldnât understand relationship stuff and youâd have to explain things to him, which would kill the tension for a bit. However, he makes a huge effort trying to be a good partner.
Puzzles wants a relationship (platonic or romantic) but doesnât want to be fixed/helped. He likes the attention and having a permanent audience.
If anyone here knows Guilty Gear, you guys would probably be like A.B.A and Paracelsus, where the two of you would get into a relationship out of needing something from the other rather than for genuine interests (Him wanting someone to control and you wanting to fix him (or make him worse)) (Yes, this is a callout post for all of us, me included). It would take a while for the both of you to finally realize that your goals are what is harming the relationship from going further, and it takes a while to overcome that boundary. But once you guys do, itâs much easier to work together.
If your relationship is in the real world, heâd probably get annoyed with you more often than not during the beginning. Nothing that would make him lose it, but enough that heâd need to take a moment to readjust. Picture him dealing with Marioâs antics in the gameshow episode without going crazy, as well as him talking to Boopkins during the Price is Right Segment.
Bottom.
Heâll let you kiss his screen but the moment you arenât looking heâs wiping that shit off. Not because he doesnât like it, in fact he loves how much you wanna kiss him and give him attention, but itâs a ocd/texture thing; he canât handle feeling dirty in any way.
When he blushes, itâs like screen-burn (when a static/unmoving image burns into the screen for long periods of time). If heâs blushed in the past 30 mins, you can still slightly see it up close.
His love languages is gift giving and acts of service. He also loves literally everything except gift because youâd be the greatest gift (plus heâs personally not a material-wealth kinda guy. Leave the gift-giving to him).
Doesnât have a type/isnât picky. Anyone whoâs willing to give him attention, heâll love.
He hasnât genuinely laughed at something in years. Heâs seen all the comedy shows and knows all the tropes so much that nothing gets to him anymore. You might make him chuckle or smirk but his goal is to make you smile and laugh. If you do laugh at his jokes, it warms his heart a lot. However, he can tell if a laugh is forced/fake, and will call you out on it if heâs not in a good mood.
Whether you like it or not, you pretty much canât leave him alone once the two of you are official. If he needs some kind of comfort, heâs latching onto you. If youâre far away, heâll either make the journey to see you or will call you every ten minutes
Hates modern phones and canât text for shit. The gloves DO NOT help at all. Heâll just call you if he wants to talk to you, but the two of you are usually together so thereâs no need.
Literally just unhindged Fluttercord.
A Two-for-one deal: a partner and a white noise machine lol.
Tastes like battery acid. I will not elaborate further.
His memories are like recordings that he can display on his screen, but he rarely does. If he falls asleep and dreams about memories of you, he might display them like that one scene of Pearl sleeping in Steven Universe.
Loves coordinating and matching outfits, but heâll literally wear the same thing so he likes it when you coordinate with him, really.
Fr tho he is totally a bottom, but heâs overall more of a switch. If he has control over the situation, heâll make sure everything goes flawlessly. However, if you make him go off-script and cause him to fumble, you can easily take over.
Now these ones are specifically horror movie/show based from a request last post!
Heâs okay with slasher movies, but hates the amount of unnecessary stuff like the swearing and sex. All cheep tactics to the the audience interested.
Hates phycological horror. Respects it, but hates it. Partially because heâs in minor denial of what he puts his actors through (he knows and accepts thatâs heâs brainwashing people and controlling them, but he often justifies if for his sake).
Likes watching some horror movies because a lot of actors started with horror and got bigger because of it.
Truthfully, heâs a little traumatized from horror movies after staying up late one night to watch night television and adult shows as a kid. When a horror movie started playing, he forced himself to watch the whole thing and had nightmares about it months after. He overall tries to avoid horror.
If you guys are in a relationship and you wanna watch a horror movie, heâll be hesitant. As you set it up, heâd also try to switch the movie and distract you, which fails. âWell, I mean, if you insist. Oh- but how about this other movie! Itâs excellent, and the bonus features are so interesting!â
If you call him out for it, heâd apologies and admit heâs not a fan of horror. You could totally tease him, saying that âthereâs no such thing as monsterâ and that youâre there to protect him if something goes bump in the night, and heâll get offended and would watch the movie JUST to prove that he isnât afraid.
Heâd be shaking by the 30 min mark, over-dramatically reacting to everything. This could be for 1 of 2 things:
1. Heâs genuinely terrified and the suspense is killing him. Heâs curled up on the couch with his manic smile waiting for SOMETHING to happen, but nothingâs happening yet, so whyâs THE MUSIC GETTING LOUDER?!?!?! You could scare him with a poke or a loud noise, which would cause him to basically skyrocket to the ceiling in fear, or you could gently take his hand and cuddle with him, which heâd immediately grab onto you and squeeze you the entire movie.
2. The acting is horrible and nothing makes sense. If the fear isnât good enough to captivate him, heâs sprawled out on the couch and complaining the whole time. Itâs almost funny how passionate he is about it, if not for the fact that you just wanna watch a movie. You could shush him, but heâll just go back to talking in the next 5 minutes.
As for the theatre, you kinda canât take him regardless of whatâs playing, mainly because of his screen. He canât dim it, and heâs already a beacon of light in dim rooms, so the theatre is a no go. He doesnât mind, as he obviously prefer television. However, if youâre willing to drive and watch them, heâs fine with drive-in theatres. They remind him of his childhood, and it give him a reason to cuddle with you.
Only major downside of a drive-in is all the bugs sticking to his screen in the night, which heâd freak out about. Heâd drench himself with so much bug repellent that heâd stink of chemicals.
Hereâs a bunch of relationship hcs! Tried to make them mostly interchangeable between romantic and platonic relationships. Iâll continue to cook up more headcanons but I may or may not be working on a fic of my own, inspired by all the amazing writing Iâve been reading from the fandom. Til then, Iâll continue posting here! Questions/comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

If I Loved You Less
MC x Solomon Warnings: Fluff Word Count: 1,218
A/N: Wow! I finally got the will to write again! It's probably a bit OOC but whatever. I still think it's cute. I promise I have other stories planned that aren't just for Solomon. I will write about another character eventually.
You and Solomon had gotten yourselves into quite the situation, and you blame Satan. Well, not really, but it was you thinking of him that got you into this mess.Â
You had seen a book while at a little store Solomon took you to. It looked old and probably cursed. Sounded perfect for Satan. Heâd love it! The only problem was it was on the top shelf and you couldnât find anyone to help you grab it down. So of course, like the smart person you are, you tried to climb the shelf. It looked like it was connected to the wall, so you thought it was stable enough. And it worked for a minute.
âMC, what are you doing up there?â Solomon had asked with a sly grin.
That was all it took to startle you and cause you to fall backwards, still holding the book. Solomon caught you, and then suddenly, you were no longer in the store, which brings you back up to speed.
âSolomon⊠Where the hell are we, because it isnât the Devildom.â You stared at the sky through the trees, which was bright blue with the sun in the sky.Â
Solomon was busy studying one of the trees you had appeared by. âWell, I can confirm this place is real, not an illusion.âÂ
âWell, we should go try to find our way out of here before night falls. Which direction should we go?â You asked, looking around. It was just trees every direction you looked.Â
Solomon shrugged and started walking. âI have a feeling we should go this way.â
It didnât take long before you came across a small cabin. âShould we knock and see if anyoneâs home to help?â You asked. For some reason, you felt drawn to the cabin.
Without answering you, Solomon walked right up and knocked on the door, but it swung right open. âI take it nobody is home.âÂ
âSolomon, be careful. It might be a trap!âÂ
âDonât worry MC. I donât sense any magic in here. And this looks like our only chance at some sort of safety in this forest. It canât be that bad.â With that, Solomon walked into the cabin. You stayed outside, nervous for him. âMC, come take a look at this,â Solomon called from inside the cabin.
You cautiously walked into the cabin and over to the kitchen counter that Solomon was standing by. There was a piece of paper on the counter. There were three quotes written on the paper, both of which you recognized.
The first read, âWhatever our souls are made out of, his and mine are the same...If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger.â Wuthering Heights by Emily BrontĂ«. Strangely, this was exactly how you feel about Solomon.
The second read, âAs I got to know you, I began to realise that beauty was the least of your qualities. I became fascinated by your goodness. I was drawn in by it. I didnât understand what was happening to me. And it was only when I began to feel actual, physical pain every time you left the room that it finally dawned on me: I was in love, for the first time in my life.â Dangerous Liasions by Choderlos de Laclos. You didnât know it, but this was exactly how Solomon felt about you.
The third read, âIf I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.â Emma by Jane Austen.Â
After reading the three quotes, you turned to look at Solomon. He looked like he was studying the paper and the quotes intently. He had the paper in one hand, and with his other he was holding his chin. A soft smile crossed your face.
Solomon looked up at you. âI am guessing the book you were grabbing in the store was cursed and when I touched you while you were holding the book, it transported us here. This is a clue about how to get home, is my best guess. The book is clearly one that has love as a theme. Now we just need to figure out what it wants for us to go home.â
You guys spent days at that cabin trying to determine what should have been obvious to you both. But it was nice, this slice of domesticity with Solomon.Â
There was only one bed in the cabin so you two had to share. You enjoyed waking up everyday to his sleeping face with his arm around your waist. He always looked so peaceful in his sleep. As if there wasnât anything troubling him. But why would there be? He was sleeping next to the only person he truly trusts and he has them in his arms.Â
You avoided Solomon cooking for you by asking him to work on figuring out the paper. But getting to cook things for Solomon was nice. And somehow, the cabin always had the ingredients for exactly what you wanted to cook. The two of you washing dishes next to each other was comforting in a way.
Slowly, over the week, you guys stopped paying as close attention to the meaning of the paper, enjoying just living in each otherâs company and getting a break from the outside world. That was, until Solomon made a horrible joke.
âGod, that was awful Solomon. Youâre lucky I love you.â The words just came out without you thinking about them.Â
âMC⊠Did you just-â Solomon cut himself off. âThatâs it⊠Thatâs the third quote.âÂ
âWhatâs the third- oh⊠Oh.âÂ
You and Solomon look at each other. âThe second quote, itâs how I-â
You cut Solomon off. âThe first quote, itâs how I feel about you too.â
âI think the book wants us to stop dancing around our feelings and finally admit we love each other.â Solomon was looking at you. His gaze was intense but soft at the same time. You didnât know how he could do that.Â
âI think youâre right⊠So Iâll go first. Solomon, I am completely, unequivocally in love with you. Your turn.â
Solomon hesitated. âMC⊠Could you be happy here with me?â Solomon didnât want to go home. He didnât want all of your time to be taken up by the brothers and the royals again. He wanted a world where you were happy and with him.
âYes, I could⊠But Solomon, we donât belong here.â
âCould we just stay a little longer? I just want you to be happy with me for a little longer.â Solomon almost looked vulnerable.Â
You gave him a small, soft smile. âSolomon, I could be happy with you anywhere. Letâs go home.â
Solomon nodded, a smile crossing his face. âMC, you have my whole heart. I love you too.â
There was a flash of light and you were back in the store, in Solomonâs arms and holding the book.
âRemind me to not just randomly touch cursed looking books next time. As great as that was, weâre lucky we didnât end up inside out or something.âÂ
You laughed, looking up at him. He smiled and leaned his head down to kiss you. Yeah, you were gonna keep this book for yourself.Â

Dayn has to leave soon, his clients are hungry and waiting for him. Jeb and Kiyoshi quickly dragged him over to the astrometrics lab, where they'd stored Vlad and Ji Ho's meteorites, to ask him if he knows anything about their strange behaviour - only to find out that they now even started to float ö.Ă' And Dayn has no idea either what might have caused the glowing and floating stuff...
He also delivered their mail to the security office. A few letters form a certain Jasmine Holiday? Jeb: "I don't think we know her? Is this spam?" Dayn: "Uh - maybe? I've delivered quite a few of them." Jeb will check them later.
And when Dayn just wanted to head to the bridge, he sensed that this odd sensation, he noticed since he came on board, grew stronger again. Dayn: "Do you mind if I make a quick scan? There is something unusual here..." Saiwa: "Sure, go on."
Little Goat to Little Goat: 'Omg! They are going to find the Romantium!' Little Goat: 'Oh no! They are going to take it away!' Little Goat: 'Ach! And we had so much fun with it...' Little Goat: 'At least we have the hot tub now.' Little Goat: 'But who's going to use it without the Romantium?' Little Goat: 'Ach dammit!'
Dayn: "The source is in the engine room, let's take a look."
Dayn: "This is a Romantium ore. Why did you put it beneath the ventilation? It's permeating the whole ship. Oh, I see! Clever!" *Dayn winked at Saiwa* Saiwa: "A Romantium ore? I don't know why it's here. Strange. Though - I noticed something was... uh 'encouraging' us ^^' " Dayn, eagerly: "If you want to get rid of it?" The Little Goats stepped into Dayn's way, a hostile look on their cute little faces.
Saiwa shooed them back to the meadow and looked at the ore. It has potential... Saiwa: "Oh, that won't be necessary. We can handle it." Dayn laughed: "I see."
Vlad and Jack at the bridge overheard them. Vlad: "You know something about that ore?" Jack: "Why do you ask me?" Vlad: "Do you?" Jack: "Eh... I found it beyond the veil. The lightning that hit me left it behind. And I kind of know about its eh - romanticizing effect. But I didn't put it under the ventilation! I swear!" Vlad hissed: "And I swear - one day..." All that kissing and stuff with Ji Ho. It just happened because of that ore?
Luckily Dayn came upstairs just in time to show them which button to push to ignite the beacon so they can be found by the outpost, should they get lost.
Jack's finger hovered over the button: "It's this one, right?"
Dayn: "Yes. But don't get so close to it. There is only one beacon. If you accidentally push it and you get lost afterwards - you're really lost... The outpost won't find you and no one will know where you are because the GPS still doesn't work. Just let the autopilot follow that detour to the outpost - and don't push that button if it isn't necessary." Jack:
(Iconic scene above is from Guardians of the Galaxy 2) Then it's time to say farewell to Dayn. He hugged Lenny one last time: "Good luck Boys! Take good care of our Lenny!" The Little Goats were so glad he's finally leaving and that the Romantium's going to stay: 'That was close! Let's hide it before they get a grip on it!'
'The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding In all of the directions it can whizz As fast as it can go, of the speed of light, you know Twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure How amazingly unlikely is your birth And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space 'Cause it's bugger all down here on Earth'

Moon bursted into his home shortly followed by Solar, who quickly trailed behind him, saying as little as possible. Moon was heard grumbling angry sentence fragments about Ruin and how much he hated him. It was a little wild considering for months, nobody but Eclipse had suspected Ruin to be the mastermind behind all the hype and excitement.
As the two animatronics rushed through the house to the room where Sun and Ruin were, Moonâs speed became more rapid, only to thrust open the door and find Sun standing in the corner as far away from Ruin as he could get.
âMoon!â He gasped, relaxing a bit as Ruin shifted in the bed he sat on.
âSun, are you okay? Solar and I came as soon as-â
âAh, yes, Solar.â Ruin interrupted, crossing his legs slowly as if to intimidate them. Moon looked back at the eclipse-themed bot and shrugged, his monotone expression shaking lightly, unbeknownst to what Ruin had planned. âYou know, you should be gone right about now.â Ruin gave a sly smirk, closing his eyes like he was worry free, though he was far from that.
âWhat?â Solar rung in, taking a heavy step further into the room.
âYou should really be thanking me that youâre still here.â The mixed animatronic swiftly raised from the bed to properly face the three family members, grinning widely at them all.
Solar scoffed, âWhat on earth would I want to thank you for? Youâve caused nothing but trouble!â In the corner, Sun clung helplessly to Moonâs arm, utterly afraid of what Ruin might try to do.
âWhy, because youâre alive! Why else?â
âWhy do you keep saying that?!â Moon yelled furiously, clenching his fists aggressively.
Ruin giggled like a child, walking over to the window that stretched from ceiling to floor, âBecause, dear Moon, if it werenât for a little messing around I had done, you dear friend Solar, here, would be gone! Dead! In the afterlife!â
Moon looked surprised over to Solar, whoâs expression was just as shocked as his and Sunâs. When nobody reacted verbally to whatever Ruin was getting at, he decided to elaborate and make things clearer, just for his entertainment.
âYou see, the way this universe works is⊠different. Now, a little while ago, with the way everything is set up, Solar would have died. But then I realized something that could be beneficial to me!â Ruin rambled, the mention of him killing off his family made Moonâs blood boil. If he had blood, that was.
âI decided, why let Solar die, when thereâs Sun?â
Moonâs head flashed immediately to his brother, who had gone almost white at Ruinâs words. Sun shook uncontrollably, tearing up with black oil-like teardrops in the corner of his eyes. âM-MoonâŠâ
Ruin snapped at Sun, âIâm not finished talking!â He barked, standing up straight, âSo I did a little messing around and worked with your codes, and, well, letâs just say what Iâve done will take effectâŠâ
Sun suddenly clenched his stomach area in pain and choked back a yell of agony.
âRight about now.â Ruin smirked as he watched Sun begin to have his life sucked right away from him.
âSun!â Moon cried, taking him by the shoulders and looking him firmly in the eyes, âS-sun, just get a grip, okay? Hold on, y-youâll be okayâŠ!â Moon panicked, looking to Solar for help, but he was just staring, dumbfounded about everything happening that seemed to go by in a flash.
Tears dropped from Sunâs distressed faceplate as he began to feel⊠funny. He took a moment to take his hand away from his stomach and watched it in horror as it began to turn to nothing like dust being blown off a desk. Moon said nothing at first, his words taken right from him as he watched his brotherâs life come to an end.
âMoonieâŠâ
âSun, no no no no, you canât die! You canât, y-you canât!â Moon quivered, taking Sunâs hands and squeezing them as he began to cry too. A few of Sunâs rays began to fade away as well, and all anyone could really to was sob.
âMoon, I-I donât know if Iâll ever be able to see you again, butâŠâ Sun shook, speaking through rivers of oily tears, âI love you, Moon, and- and- Iâm going to miss youâŠ!â Sun took his brother into an agony-filled embrace and Moon began to yelp with sadness.
âN-no, this isnât the end of you! Youâre not going to die!â He yelled, squeezing Sun, not believing his own words as they left his silicone lips.
âMoonie⊠Iâm going to dieâŠâ Sun whispered, nuzzling his face into Moonâs shoulder. The lunar animatronic began to wail like there was no tomorrow, and Sun savored the last moments he could have with his brother.
It all went by too fast to process, but within the minute, Sun was gone. Moon had collapsed onto his knees, crying into what was left of his brother; his wrist ribbons were held firmly in Moonâs hand as he sobbed endlessly into them.
âSUN!!!â He screamed, hoping in any way, his brother, his beloved twin, would come back to him.
âA fragile thing, life.â Ruin cocked from the other side of the room, who was absentmindedly fiddling with his fingers.
Somehow, Moon had managed to forget Ruin was even there. He sprung up suddenly from his knees and stormed over to the mix-matched animatronic he had foolishly trusted and grabbed him by the neck, thrusting him against the wall violently.
âYouâve made a huge enemy today.â Moon growled, tightening his grip firmly on Ruinâs neck.
âI-Iâm su-sure I have!â
Moon swung his fist and punched Ruin across the face countless times before beating him elsewhere all while he choked in his hands. Solar hurried to Moonâs side and stopped him before he could officially murder the cruel animatronic.
âMoon, be rational, what will killing him accomplish?â Solar yelled, only partially pulling him out of his violent rage.
âFor one heâd be FAR away from where Sun is now!â Moon hissed in response, ripping his arm away from Solar and punching Ruin more and more, beating him until he could barely move.
âMoon!â Solar yelled again, holding him back by both arms and dragging him to the other side of the room. The lunar animatronic squirmed in Solarâs arms as he fought to get back to avenging his twin.
Ruin coughed, grinning despite his terrible condition, âYou really are funny, Moon!â He cackled, rolling onto his side with an aching groan. Thick, blood-like oil leaked from multiple places on the destroyed animatronicâs body, even some trickling from the corner of his eyes and his mouth.
Moon shuffled to get out of Solarâs grasp more at the sound of Ruinâs aggravating voice. âIâM GOING TO KILL YOU, RUIN! YOU WILL BURN IN HELL NO MATTER WHAT!â Moon howled with anger and agony, becoming weak from using all his energy to escape.
Finally, Ruinâs eyes turned black, and he fell limp, either dead or out of battery. Solar released Moon, and he fell to the floor again, crying for his brother. Solar bent down and hesitated to hug Moon, but it was probably what he needed at a moment like it was. Moon cried and cried until he couldnât anymore, and at that point it was well after dark, and morning was nearing. Both Solar and Moon had ignored a number of calls from Earth and Lunar.
When he had finished, Moon had stood wearily and staggered out of Sunâs bedroom, knowing heâd never be able to walk back into that room ever again without a huge wave of dread washing over him. Solar walked out as well as he watched Moon flop onto the couch and lay miserably.
âMoon, what should I do with R-â
âLeave him. Iâll deal with it later.â Moon muttered, his voice cracked and broken from crying.
Solar frowned as he walked out of Sunâs former room, closing the door behind him. Sunâs cats ran below his feet, making him watch where he stepped as he wandered into the living area. âI- uh- I can leave if youâd prefer it.â Solar suggested, dithering to sit.
âI donât care what you do right now.â Moon hissed, clearly in the worst mood he could be in.
Solarâs insides ached as he was given the nostalgic feeling of when his Moon from his dimension would hiss and scold him like that. It made him feel like a burden, so he left. Lord knows what Moon did with the rest of his night, but Solar knew someone was going to have to tell Earth and Lunar the sad news.
When he arrived at the daycare, Earth and Lunar rushed to him as if he was on fire. âSolar! We were so worried! Whereâve you been?! Whereâs Sun and Moon?!â Earth asked, hugging the eclipse-themed animatronic.
Solar could barely speak, and it wasnât like he wanted to anyway. He wasnât the right person to tell them the truth, but Moon certainly wouldnât be fit to do it either. He stumbled over his words, trying to find what to say, but it was so hard to say anything after what heâd just experienced.
âS-sun heâs⊠heâs- not hereâŠâ Solar managed to say, watching as Earth and Lunar exchanged confused glances.
âWhere is he?â Lunar asked.
Solar figuratively swallowed a lump in his throat and felt the guilt rise. There was so much he could have done to prevent that, right? âHeâs⊠heâs deadâŠâ
Earthâs shoulders fell and Lunar shook, âHeâs what-?â Earth sniffled, grabbing her shoulders for support.
âHeâs dead. He w-was killed by RuinâŠâ
Lunar fell to the floor, tears rapidly falling as well, and all his sister did was stand and shake. Stand, shake, and cry. âHeâs not! He canât be- n-no, not Sun! Never!â Earth denied it all, throwing herself against the desk and sobbing into her arms.
âNot Sun! No! Please, this is a joke, it has to be!â
Solar walked up beside Earth and wrapped his arms around her, but unfortunately comfort wasnât his strong suit. âEarth, I know itâs sad, but-â
âHeâs deadâŠâ Lunar squeaked from the floor behind the two. Solar cocked his head to face him, dark shadows ominously covering his face. âHe- he canât be deadâŠâ Lunarâs hands began to shiver as lightning started to appear.
âLunar, calm downâŠâ Solar whispered, slowly walking up to the small animatronic. Lunar flung himself to his feet and started to pace back and forth, the lightning getting dangerously wild. Earth looked up too, spotting the fit Lunar seemed to be having.
The only thing that you could hear in the entire daycare was the crackle of Lunarâs lightning, and him muttering, âheâs deadâ over and over again until he forced his hands to his temple and began to cry violently.
Earth and Solar hurried to him and took him into their arms, hugging him closely as all three began to wail together.
âSun⊠my brother⊠m-my last original brother⊠heâs goneâŠâ Lunar whispered, so many tears slipping down his cheeks.
âItâs okay, LunarâŠâ Earth whispered, choking back ugly sobs and hiccups. Lunar shook his head, âNo⊠itâs not.â He gasped through huge sobs.
âWe didnât even get to say goodbyeâŠâ

Masterlist
This driver didnât speak to you at all on the drive to your meeting. You preferred it that way, curating your message to your friend with the address you spied in the SatNav.
At the front desk, you collected the key card then made your way into the elevator. Your new bag wheeled in behind you, a larger one to fit potential outfits youâd need in the coming days requested by your benefactor. It barely clipped your heel as you twisted around to select your designated floor. Muzak was your companion on the walk down to your room; you knocked three times and counted to four in time with it. The keycard found the slot in the door easily. It granted you entry to the room.
Already, the purple patterned wallpaper and sleek grey furnishings appeased your materialistic side. But it was the pair of shoes unaligned by the door and the outfit laid out on the bed that called you inside.
At the sound of a shuffle through the wall, you spoke, âJohn?â
âJust coming,â was your reply, accompanied by the flush of a toilet and a splash in a sink.
Upon the instant John emerged from the bathroom, you noticed the cut on his right cheek. It was wide enough to require tape stitch closures and thin enough to only have a few causes behind its creation. Your hands found Johnâs face.
âWhat happened?â You said, almost whining at him, as if heâd gotten hurt on purpose.
John attempted to wave you off, âNothing serious, Iâm fine.â
Still, you fawned over him a little longer, leading him over to the bed so you could get a closer look â and the longer you looked, the more you found to worry over. Split skin on his knuckles, semi scabbed over, worried you more than the bruise blooming beneath them. Those valleys of cuts scarcely healed were bound to welcome infection like a bellboy would a hotel guest.
Only reason you stopped was because John clasped around your wrists like the prettiest bracelets and squeezed so that your hands stopped using his jaw to tilt his head about for inspection.
âIâm okay,â He said, his voice firm but his eyes soft, for your benefit no doubt, and you felt the overwhelming desire to trust him. Heâd make one hell of an actor.
For now, you switched to a neutral subject.
âWent all out on the room this time, didnât you?â
âMy colleague says I need to learn to relax. Thought this might inspire that.â
You cottoned on with a grin, âThatâs why Iâm here, right?â
A wince wrinkled Johnâs expression, and you were not sure if the cause was an injury or the comment, but the fact that he even let slip a reaction at all told you all you needed to know about his current state. Getting this man to relax and recuperate was your new goal.
âI thought maybe we could-â You stopped, watching John cringe again, this time pushing on his knees as he went to stand. Forgetting about your fancy clothes in your suitcase, you jumped with your gut instinct: âLet me run you a bath.â
âI didnât call you here so you could watch me soak in my own filth.â
âYouâre not that dirty.â John squinted at your through suspicious slitted eyes at your comment whilst you continued, âBesides, itâll help you unwind, and weâll have time after. Câmon, let me. Please.â
Begging was not something you did without being paid for it, hence why you were completely fine whipping out the puppy dog eyes now. With faux resignation, John acquiesced and, within the minute, you were filling the bath with all the bubble bath you could find, having demanded he get undressed whilst you prepare his tub.
As you swished through the water, blending the two temperatures into a pleasantly hot sting, John poked his head into sight. His naked arm pressed the door against him in case it decided to reveal more of him to you. A tattoo of a dagger speared through his bicep like it was still lodged into a slot made of skin. You stood quickly; the rush of blood from your head made you wobble and John made a move, revealing a hint of his chest to you.
âNormally, Iâd light some candles, really set the mood,â You said just as fast as youâd stood. âWant me to turn around?â
Despite him shaking his head, as you âsortedâ through bottles of body wash, you still glanced far enough away that his nude body was in your peripheral, blurred in your blind spot as he sank beneath the water and hid himself beneath the bubbles as much as possible. More tattoos masked beneath body hair like brick walls behind ivy vines, some linework slashed apart or speckled with more scars than there were bubbles in the tub, forming constellations. Other bruises of varying purples were contrasted by tape and gauze on his lower left shoulder. John remained upright, his back straight and arms balance on the tubâs rim. He shot you a look that told you not to linger on his injuries.
You ignored it, âGlad to see you at least went to a doctor before calling me.â
âIâve had worse.â
âI dread to think. Can I wash your hair?â
John hesitated for a split second: âSure.â
You took one from the pair of drinking glasses beside the sink, scooping up bathwater and swiping the excess bubbles from the top. As you carefully tilted Johnâs head back, your hand defending his brow from any stray droplets, you made sure your touch didnât cross paths with the string of numbers tattooed right above the top of his spine. The skin there was marred and raised; whoever tattooed it was not kind with their equipment.
Water slicked down Johnâs hair, then again and again, until hairs clumped together in thicker tresses. Your nails ploughed carefully through after each cupful. One occasion, it narrowly missed a hidden scab, which you added to Johnâs total of injuries.
A healthy dollop of shampoo was squirted into your palm, pressing it into your other and threading it over your fingers. Foam rose fast; you began to circle it into Johnâs uneven hair. Over the bubbles popping, you heard the fruits of your recently done-up nails as you scratched them through his head, parting locks like a plough tilling the land. His head rotated on its axis ever-so-slightly as you clenched and tugged on his hair.
As nicely as you could, you pushed on his forehead and received an open eye of curiosity as you tempted him to rest his head back on a folded towel. The eye shut again, satisfied, when youbegan to knead the dough of the fat thinly coating his right shoulderâs muscles. They were like dead roots, reaching far across his body and brittle with age left unchecked. Body wash slicked up the skin to ease your firm touch.
âYour coworker was right; you do need to relax,â You whispered.
âDonât tell her. Iâll never hear the end of it.â
âIt can be our secret then.â A firm dig from your thumbs beneath both his shoulder blades resulted in the first groan-gasp combination from John. âGood?â
âDivine. Youâd make a great masseuse.â
âI would. But then I wouldnât get to see you.â
John had already opened his mouth to speak again, but as you massaged parallel lines down his spine, his head drooped, dragging him forward a little so you could reach further, and his chin closed against his chest.
âYes?â You prompted light-heartedly, only to be met with him groaning again, âThatâs what I thought.â
âCheeky.â Though his tone matched the words, the timbre of his voice was thick, like his vocal chords had been drizzled in honey.
âYou love it.â
Refusing to let him slouched for long, you eased him back upright to resume rubbing on his shoulder. Your fingers avoided the bandage on his pectoral as you soaped him up and washed him clean. The barrier of your hand protected the gauze. Surprisingly, you caught John staring a few times, his go-to move to smile and close his eyes whenever you did.
Perched on the rim of the tub, you began to work on his arms. As you circled the tips of his fingers and travelled down each knuckle, John started to pay more attention to you again. Occasionally, you would meet his gaze, not to challenge, just to smile at him and for that smile to grow when you hit a sweet spot that made him grunt and look away first. John kept his hand in your lap whilst you worked on the other one, his thumb rubbing back and forth at the same pace as yours. It left you content to feel the heft of his hand growing as you eased the tension from each tendon. He was trusting you to look after him, giving more and more of himself over. Â
So it was a risky move to transition your care onto his right foot. Nothing that spelt rejection of this area when you first took the limb from the water, propping it on yet another folded towel at the rim for ease of access. Still nothing from John as you kneaded and pressed. It was only when you were zoned in on his calf that, through gritted teeth, you heard John force out the word:
âLove?â
Your fingers ceased all movement immediately, hands retracing in surrender, because John had never called you that before. Crimson had rushed to his ears beneath the shampoo bubbles. He cleared his throat as you leant your head left in confusion.
Then you saw his cock standing proud and poking out the bubbles. It was hardly the first erection youâd ever seen: pretty impressive, but pretty normal for your work week. You drew your eye away from it easily whilst John attempted to cover his groin up with more bubbles.
You looked back at him, hands back on the rim of the tub, âDo you want me to stop?â
John ground away at the enamel on his teeth whilst he deliberated over his best course of action. His knuckles ripped apart a scab with the grip they had on the rim.
Not wanting to send him off to an emergency dentist or A&E, you offered, âHow about I keep going and you tell me when to stop or move on?â
John took a deep breath and spoke in a gruff voice, like the one when he was just waking up, âWhen I say.â
âOf course.â
He let you get to his knees on both legs before requesting you move on. Message received, you finished up fast and shifted focus on washing the shampoo gently out from his hair. As you rinsed through his hair, you noted that he seemed to have⊠calmed down. But the opposite effect seemed to have been achieved as a tear rolled down Johnâs cheek and plinked into the waterline.
You withdrew from him, trying instead to catch his eyeline, âIâm sorry. Did I hurt you?â
But John turned his head with a sniff, water sloshing as he withdrew a hand from the tub to pretend to wipe his nose, no doubt an attempt to remove the stinging sensation in his eyes. However, he was still smiling , close-lipped and slightly strained under his bought of emotion.
âIâm fine,â He muttered, his hand melting beneath the water as he pushed up and down his thigh. You wanted to joke that âIâm fineâ should become his catchphrase, but you held off. He was the most open heâd been with you at all, even if he was lying about it.
âAnything I can do?â You asked instead.
Shaking his head, John braced himself on the sides of the tub, âGonna get out now. Could youâŠ?â
âSure.â
You practically fled the bathroom in an effort to do what would make him feel comfortable. Water cascading back into the tub echoed off the tiles and into the bedroom whilst you texted your friend to confirm you were still safe.
When he finally came out the bathroom room, steam rolling in like fog over San Francisco, he was cleaning out his ears with a complimentary cotton bud. His eyes held no signs of crying, and you hadnât heard any further evidence as such, so you felt only a vague sting of guilt for ogling the way he tied his robe, granting you access to follow a stray drop of hair weave its way down through his chest hair.
Determined to let him know you didnât care about what transpired â except that you wanted him to be okay â you stepped close to him.
âOkay, donât laugh but Iâm begging you to let me at least moisturise your face. Itâs gonna crack like dry earth.â
John let out a short laugh as he sauntered over to the bed that clued you in on his answer: he was prepared to humour you. He tossed the cotton bud neatly into the bin â nothing but binbag â and took his seat, once against observing you whilst you gleefully collected your face cream from your bag.
Standing between his legs, you dappled blobs across his face with a practiced fingertip. Stippling across his face displayed the freckles that populated his skin in a flattering light. Working in delicate circles so as not to cause any further damage, you were aware that you were likely pulling weird faces for aid of focus, and you probably had been whilst you were massaging him, but John didnât react to them besides his slow cat-like blinks that let him pivot his gaze around your face and his hands curving at the tops of your thighs.
Hecaught you in his grasp again just as you were finishing up, and you paused to let him speak.
Holding your eye contact as gently as he held your wrist, John murmured, âI think about you a lot when Iâm away.â
Your thumb carefully dragged the last of the lotion across his cheek, vanishing it into his skin. âI think about you too.â
A couple of inches breathing room between you became too much, what with Johnâs eyes drooping to your lips for increasing intervals. You decided to toss your face lotion bottle on the bed before you kissed him. Hardly heated, you were gentle as before. Something sweet and simple to soothe him back to normal life.
But as John pulled away, you saw none of that. You saw remorse that ran as deep as the damage his scars hinted at. All he managed was a slight embellishment of a smile whilst he wiped away a smear of lotion that had transferred onto your face.
âWhat timeâs our reservation?â
âAn hour.â
Plenty of time.
So, instead of pressing him like your gut yearned to, you kissed his forehead and stepped away. You didnât call out how he leant towards you, even tilting on his axis to follow your lips for more, or how he closed his eyes with his shoulders sagging and a sigh caged in his ribs. He probably didnât want to be seen as the sad man who asked you to kiss him so he felt better about getting a boner over getting his hair washed.
You let John stick to his plan and thank you by taking you out to dinner. Despite feeling like you were making progress, knowing him a little more, he seemed to be digging into the Earth to create more distance between you both as he sipped at his drink and dodged your queries about what he planned to do with his time off. Distance was healthy, necessary even for your work. But much more and you might not be able to stomach it.
With his new found vantage point, John as your voyeur continued his new role throughout and past dinner. The only time you crossed into his territory again was once youâd completed your nightly routine under his watch. You crossed the shag carpet to stand between his legs, kiss him goodnight and thank him for treating you so well. Reminding you that you hadnât lost all that progress, John squeezed your waist as he affirmed you deserved every luxury. His forehead rested against yours as he told you this.
But there was damage done still. John reached out for you in his sleep. His arms found your waist every time he settled, and every time he woke back up, he retracted his touch back to his side.
You didnât hear from him for two months after that meeting, something with work heâd said. You still thought about him a lot. You wondered if he still did too.

"Sorry I'm late!" You shout, bursting into the flat, kicking off your shoes. "I swear give me five minutes and I'll be ready!"
You rush past Marc as you run to the bedroom, grabbing your outfit from your bag, already knowing that the chances of making your table reservation are slim given the traffic in London on a Friday night.
As you throw it down on the bed something makes you pause. It takes a moment for your brain to catch up and when it does you groan.
"You cooked?" You whine as you inhale the delicious smell of food from the kitchen. "Marc, you didn't have to cook. I know I'm a bit late but we can still go out."
Turning to complain at him you pause, taking in the man standing in the sitting room, surrounded by Stevens books, wearing Marc's t-shirt and pants, looking at you with a smug smile and raised eyebrows. The man who wears your boyfriend's face, but isn't him.
The realisation sinks in quickly of who you are looking at causing your heart to thunder in your chest and your mouth go dry.
"Jake?
He nods in confirmation taking a step towards you, one you mirror by stepping back.
Marc has told you very little of Jake, only that he isn't sure he's ready for you both to meet, still getting to grips with knowing his third alter himself.
You assumed Jake already knew of your existence, and that he knew that you knew of his, but you found with the boys it was easier to let them take things at their own pace no matter how curious you were about meeting their third, their protector.
Suddenly faced with Jake you aren't sure what to do. Physically he still looks like Steven, like Marc, but there's something in his eyes, in the way he holds himself, that is nothing like either of them.
Steven always makes himself small, Marc holds too much tension, like he carries the weight of the word, but Jake, Jake is a statue. Jake is unreadable, at least for now.
"It's nice to finally meet. The others have a lot to say about you," he smiles easily, as though you already know each other.
"All good I hope?" You give an awkward laugh, unsure how to handle the situation. "Is um, are Marc and Steven okay?"
The little you knew about Jake was mostly that he fronted when the boys needed him, when it was dangerous, or too much for either of them to cope. When you'd left the flat for work both of them seemed as happy as usual. You'd left Steven pondering over books, and Marc had called you at lunch to make sure you took a break and had something to eat. Nothing had seemed particularly out of the ordinary, but then nothing in your life was ordinary anymore.
"They are fine. I just decided it was time we meet." Jake shrugs like it's nothing, but you notice an all too familiar twitch of his fingers, one that sets you on edge. Steven used to do the same thing when he was fronting and Marc wanted in, generally when you and Steven were arguing and Marc was itching for control to stop you both.
"So Marc agreed for us to meet? Because that feels like something he might have mentioned." You keep your tone light but you tuck your hands behind your back, curling them into fists the way Marc has taught you.
While you have no reason to fear his alter, the fact this seems suspicious makes you uneasy, especially given everything Steven and Marc have told you about Konshu's hold on Jake. Jake himself may not scare you, but Konshu did.
"We had a long talk about it today." Jake doesn't even miss a beat. In fact his lips twitch upwards as he glances down at your arms, hiding your balled fists behind you.
"I didn't think Marc would give up date night so willingly."
Jake winces, and that tells you all you need to know. Marc knows, but he doesn't have control to stop it. It makes anger spark in your chest on his behalf.
"Can I speak to Marc?"
Jake sighs and opens his mouth, but you cut him off before he has a chance to speak.
"Let me speak to Marc," you repeat, more firmly this time, trying to sound more confident than you really feel. "Or I will leave until you let them front."
A tense silence follows as you do your best to stare him down. Jake gives an amused chuckle at your stubbornness.
"I see why they like you. Alright, speak with him. We can continue this afterwards."
Jake's eyes roll and he lets out a choked noise before Marc stares at you, immediately jumping into an apology as if it's his fault.
"Fuck, I'm sorry, baby! Jake just took me by surprise before I had a chance to stop him."
"Took me by surprise too," you let out a soft laugh, that comes out more nervous than you intended, betraying your wildly beating heart. "You okay?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Are you okay?" He takes a few steps towards you, and this time instead of stepping back you walk forwards to meet him, allowing him to pull you into a tight hug.
"Yeah just a bit shocked that's all. I thought the days of me dropping in, not sure who I'd find, were gone. Little bit of excitement to my boring day though," you grin, trying to make him feel better as Marc regards you with worry.
"Dinner looks nice," you continue with a smile, gesturing to the beautifully laid out table, trying to distract him.
"I didn't⊠Jake cooked it." He grits out, clearly annoyed by the situation.
"Oh."
"I've got control of him now. It won't happen again. We can still go out if you feel up to it?" Marc offers.
You hesitate to answer, your mind whirring with questions. Why has Jake decided to intervene now? Was something wrong? Was it just pure chance? Why had he cooked dinner? Did he know it's your favourite meal or had that been a coincidence? Have you met before without knowing?
"Baby?" Marc prompts when you don't answer.
If he says no you won't ask again until he's ready, but now you're here, you have to ask the question. Maybe a little push is what they need.
"Marc," you start softly, taking his hands in yours, "I know you have reservations about Jake but he is a part of you, and I think it's important I get to know him too. I mean after all he has to live here and if I keep dropping in we should know each other."
"Yeah but not like this! Not just out of nowhere before we've even had a chance to talk about it." Marc scowls, his whole body stiff, as though preparing for a fight. You wonder if Jake is fighting to take over again.
"Nothing happens the right way with you anyway. I mean look at us, our relationship has been upside down, sideways and shaken," you laugh affectionately, and though Marc continues to frown his expression softens just a little. "Jake said you talked about it today?"
"Yes. But we didn't agree to anything. And you didn't agree to anything, so you don't have to let him push you into this." Marc cups your face gently, his eyes flicking between yours as he tries to get a read on you, on where your head's at.
"I know. Nobody's forcing me. I justâŠwant to know all of you. You know how badly it turned out when you wouldn't speak to me." You regret the words instantly as Marc drops his eyes, still ashamed of his behaviour during the first few months of your relationship with Steven. You take his hands from your face, holding them and squeezing in a gentle reminder that you've already forgiven all of that.
"But look at us now. The three of us are closer than ever. Jake is the last puzzle piece here. Let me just say hello so he knows I'm not some crazy psycho who's going to hurt you. Plus I won't panic if he fronts when I'm around again. He cooked my favourite food." You shrug, trying to lighten the mood a little and still distracted by the mouth watering smell. Marc ignores your feeble attempt at making jokes.
"Only because the perverted bastards been watching the time you spend with us! I didn't tell him that!" He bursts out, glaring at the table as though it somehow personally offended him.
Your stomach turns uncomfortably at the thought of the intrusion. Marc and Steven had an agreement that when it came to you, for the most part, they would stay out of each other's relationships. That way you knew the time you spent with each of them was solely for that person. But the fact Jake knew things about you, makes you uneasy. Did Marc know the extent that his alter had been watching you? What exactly had he seen?
"Okay, that's⊠yeahâŠ. weird." You wrap your arms around your waist, shielding yourself from the moment as your mind whirs with questions and concerns.
"You don't have to agree to this, love." You're drawn out of your unsavoury thoughts by Stevenâs soft British accent. "Marc's having a word now. Well, several in fact."
"I know but⊠honestly Steven, I think it's time. And I have questions I want answers to." You glance at the food on the table with a frown.
"I don't know if I'll be able to take control back," Marc warns, clearly feeling he needs to step back in.
You give him a reassuring smile, hoping it comes off as confident. "I don't think Jake is going to hurt me. Hurting me would hurt you both and isn't he supposed to stop that?"
"It's not that. I'm just worried what he will say to you."
"Marc," you start seriously before breaking into a grin, "I very much doubt Jake finally confirming you actually do love Beauty and the Beast, is going to be that bad."
Marc doesn't take the bait, still too wound up in his head, and no doubt listening to the voices of his alters.
"It's not that. I justâŠ.I've done some bad things." And there it was. Marc was worried somehow Jake would reveal something he didn't want you to know. Something about the past he keeps carefully locked away and hidden.
You take Marc's hands in yours, squeezing tightly.
"I'm so proud of you. You didn't deny loving the film!" You coo, much to Marc's annoyance as he pulls a face at you, clearly unimpressed.
"Whatever happened in the past, whatever you or Jake or Steven did, it doesn't matter. I know you Marc Spector, and you are a good man. You all are. Now let's get this over with okay?"
Marc looks at you pleadingly, but you stand firm. This has to happen sometime, and while it's out of the blue, so had your meeting been with Marc the first time when you thought you were meeting Steven.
"He says one word out of line," Marc growls, leaving the threat unsaid.
"One word," you agree with a nod.
"And he only gets to eat dinner with you. This is purely an introduction."
You nod again, unsure of anything else Marc might be worried Jake would ask you to do.
"And I get an additional date night with you!"
You try and bite back your laugh but you can't help grinning at him. You could tease him later on his little bout of adorable jealousy. If you were honest, you would miss the time with him too.
"And just to remind you, I hate that film. And if you and Steven watch it one more time!" Laughing, you kiss him softly. Marc's expression relaxes in an instant. "You're sure?"
You step back, letting go of his hands and giving him a nod. You were as ready as you were ever going to be.
"I'm sure."
"We'll be right here if you need us, love. Just say the word," Steven assures you, before he steps back.
Watching the transition is hard. It's not like Marc and Steven, whose switch between them is so smooth it's hard to notice. It's not quite like the way Steven had described his blackouts either, back in the days before he knew Marc. But it's clearly still a difficult transition until Jake slips into place.
"Shall we?" Jake smiles, gesturing to the table, as though he'd never been gone. You suspect he's been listening the whole time.
~
So far you are yet to fully understand Marcâs hesitation at meeting his alter. You and Jake have made small talk and introductions while you eat. Jake had been perfectly friendly, and if you're honest, even a little funny. Although you were trying to make it hard for him, given the way he had jumped in, you still found yourself enjoying his company, at least a little.
"Why the introduction now?" You ask, sipping your drink. It's your favourite and you could assume that Jake had purely got that by coincidence, since Steven always made sure he had some in the cupboards, but combined with the food you suspect not.
"They are going to ask you to move in."
You choke on your food in surprise, snapping your head up to look at Jake, waiting for him to laugh. Only he doesn't. He stares seriously at you.
"Steven decided a while ago but Marc is scared to ask. He feels you might say no."
You swallow, trying to dampen the excited butterflies that erupt in your belly.
"I don't know how he got that impression?"
Jake shrugs, "you know Marc, he has a hard time believing people do actually like him."
You do know that. If you've learnt anything about Marc over your relationship, you've learnt that is a key component. Marc always thought people preferred Steven, and he had a hard time believing anything that suggested otherwise.
"Well, if they are listening," Jake's quirk of his lips let's you know they are, "then I wouldn't say no. I would love to live here, with them. I mean I practically do anyway!"
Steven had already given you a key to the flat, and other than the evenings they were gone, you spent basically every night here.
"That's another reason it was important for us to meet. You never know when we might run into each other." Jake smiles, but his words bring up a remembrance of your concerns. Have you met before?
"Well really you would think we had met already, given you know my favourite food and my favourite drink, probably a lot more than that too. Should I ask if you know what colour underwear I put on today?" The words have a clear bite to them and to your surprise, Jake splutters on his drink, a look of shock widening his eyes.
"I would never!"
You scoff disbelievingly, gesturing to the table.
"Oh come on Jake! Let's at least be honest with each other."
"I have limits," Jake insists, wiping his mouth. "I would never invade yours, or their, privacy that way."
You find that hard to believe.
"Except you already did," you point out.
Jake sighs, defeated.
"Not out of malice or perversion. The last time Marc let someone this close to him it didn't end well, and it took some recovery time. I had to be sure he was okay, and that you could handle itïżœïżœïżœus."
Layla. Marc has spoken about his ex wife a handful of times. You knew he left, and when they found each other again in the end they decided to part as friends. To your knowledge she was off travelling Egypt, working on archeological sites. Whatever the reasons they didn't work out, Marc had never mentioned, and you never asked. You felt it wasn't your place or your business. Another past item Marc kept locked away.
But it still doesn't make sense. You'd been dating Steven a long time, and Marc a while now too. Why had it taken all this time for Jake to decide to vet you?
"Well, you took your time," you comment, watching his expression.
Jake lets out a soft laugh with a nod.
"Not out of choice, Cariño. Marc keeps you well guarded."
That is easy to believe, and you understood as much from the handful of times the boys have mentioned their other alter. Jake was their protector, and he would do what needed to be done in order to protect them. You got the feeling Marc was scared that Jake wouldn't like you, and subsequently remove you from their lives. You hope you've at least made a good enough impression that that wouldn't happen.
"You swear you've never watched usâŠ" you gesture with your hands, heat prickling the back of your neck, unable to say the words.
"Never," Jake confirms passionately, before he grins, raising an eyebrow, "unless you wanted me to? I'd be more than happy to oblige any desire you have."
It takes all your willpower and sense of decorum not to throw your drink in his face, and you imagine Marc is seething. Judging by the way Jake swallows hard, his fingers gripping the edge of the table, he's fighting Marc for control.
"Let me guess, the boys not take that well?" You give him a smug smile and sip your drink, pleased just a little at their protectiveness of you. Jake holds up his hands in surrender with a nod.
"I seem to remember you allowing Marc to speak to you in the same way."
You open your mouth to protest before closing it again, knowing Jake is absolutely right. When you first started dating Steven, Marc would often make little remarks in much the same way to wind you up, until he realised he had fallen for you, then he'd stopped entirely until the night it all came tumbling out.
"Marc helped me and Steven come together. He gets a free pass on that time in our lives."
"You are good for them, for us," Jake smiles, a soft warm genuine smile, perhaps the first true warmth he's given you all evening. "When you found us everyone was unhappy. We were in a dark place, Marc especially. When we-"
"If it's not something I don't already know, then I don't want to know. Marc doesn't want me involved in his past and I'd like to respect that. Please," you interrupt.
Jake tilts his head, like a dog who doesn't understand. "You're not even a little curious?"
You shake your head. Curious would be an understatement but you had meant what you had said to Marc. The past was the past, and it didn't matter now.
"It doesn't matter. What matters is now and if Marc or Steven wants me to know something, they will tell me."
Jake smiles and leans back in his chair, regarding you proudly. You get the feeling you just passed another kind of test.
It isn't the last of the evening either. Now and again Jake says something, asks something, that feels a little off, leading you somewhere, pushing you, testing you. It makes for an exhausting dinner, and nothing like the relaxing meal you had planned to have with Marc. You do your best to be honest, truthful, and loyal.
All you can do is hope you pass the exam.
~
When the food is finished you help Jake clear away the plates, feeling at least a little accomplished that their alter seems to tolerate you, if not like you a little.
"Does this mean I'll see you more often now?"
"Why, do you want to?" Jake grins. "SabĂa que no eras inmune a mis encantos "
Laughing you shake your head, "I never said that. It's just I don't want you to feel like you can't front with me around. I know Marc doesn't like it, but I can talk to him. If we are going to live here then we should do it as a family."
"I appreciate that," he pauses for a moment before he adds "and your trust. You didn't have to meet me tonight but you did."
You smile, "I've learnt that sometimes with those two, it's better just to get the truth out of the way."
Jake smiles, regarding you for a long moment with an expression you can't quite place. It leaves you with a warm feeling in your chest.
"I should go," he says finally, "Thank you for having dinner with me. If you ever change your mind about wanting an audience-"
"I won't." You reply quickly, cutting him off. Jake raises an eyebrow before he lets out a soft laugh.
"Never say never cariño. I look forward to changing your mind." He takes your hand and leaning down, brushes his lips against your knuckles.
In the blink of an eye Jake is gone, and Marcâs furious frown falls into place, his fingers squeezing yours.
"I'm going to murder that bastard! If he thinks he can flirt with you-" Marc cuts out as you laugh, drawing him into your arms to hug him tightly.
"You have nothing to worry about, Spector. I only have eyes for two men in my life." He still frowns unhappily but you persevere, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Don't let it get to you. There's still a whole lot of date night left you know? I can think of something I want for supper."
Marc's expression changes in an instant, his fingers gripping your hips a little harder.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah," you smile, pulling his mouth to yours for a much more insistent kiss.
You try not to wonder if Jake is watching.
